Meeting was called to order by 12ayor Exline, the roll.was called and.Commissioners Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January. loth, 1958 were read and ap- proved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro- viding for the inclusion of certain.land within the. corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance .was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the.roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi- nance and it is Numbered 6203. is . An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- ing for the amendment and repeal of Sections 27-112 and.27-114 and Sections 27-121, 27-1232 27-124, 27-1262 27-1272 27-129, 27-130 of Ordinance Number 5819." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi- nance and it is Numbered 6204. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance re- lating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of construction of Country Club Heights Intercepting Sewer and Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts Numbered 361 and 362, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments." On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi- nance and it is Numbered 6205. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance de- scribing the place and installation of certain.sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas." Commissioner Ramsey moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading • regulating garbage and household trash receptacles in the City of Salina, Kansas." Ordinance passed: Number yo [notice of Hearing for location of a trailer court in part of Talley Addition in the City of Salina, Kansas, was taken up by the Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Ramsey moved to hold over for one week. Commissioner Wenger moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading providing for Flood Control Land Condemnation. Ordinance passed Number �b Mr. Tom Lillard, Jr., submitted his resignation as a member of City Planning and Zoning Commission. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept. Application for Permit to construct Recessed Parking Area for the Mowery Building on Iron Avenue between Ninth and Tenth Streets, received from L.L. McAninch, 569 Upper Mill Heights. Commissioner Ramsey moved to table until hear about zoning. Petition presented from L. L. McAninch for the rezoning of North 1/2 of Lot 1 on Iron Avenue and West 65 feet of Lot 3, on Ninth Street, in Phillips Addition, from Zone "C" to Zone "D". Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer to City Planning Commission. • Petition presented from I:. L. Michaelsen for the rezoning of Lot 17, Block 5, Schippel Addition from Zone "A" to Zone "D". Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer to City Planning Commission. Petition presented from M. L. Michaelsen for the rezoning of I Inclusive, Block 5, Schippel.Addition from Zone "A" to Zone "B". Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer to City Planning Commission. Application for 1958 Cereal Malt Beverage License was presented from Salina Country Club, East Iron Avenue, Salina, Kansas. Commissioner Wenger moved that application be approved and Mayor re -appointed James L. Geisendorf, a member of Board of Trustees of Salina Municipal Band for a term of three years from January lst, 1958. confirmed by Commissioner Wenger. Trust Deed, with a deposit of $75.00 was presented from Theo. Dauer, Agent for Florence Dauer,Estate, for perpetual care of South 1/2 of Lot 14, Block 23, in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Trust Deed approved by Commissioner Jaeger. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi- nance and it is Numbered A-888. ***************** On motion of Commissioner McCune the Board of Commissioners adjourned. �� City Clerk *************A resolution authorizing and providing for the issuance of temporary notes of the City of Salina, Kansas in the amount of $71,847,00 to pay a portion of the cost f certain sewer improvements and designated as ST -28 pending the issuance of bonds. On motion of Commissioner Wenger resolution was adopted and on roll Nays 0. Mayor signed the resolution and it is numbered 1912. A resolution authorizing and providing for the issuance of temporary note the City of Salina, Kansas in the amount of $22,446.06 to pay a portion of the cost sertain sewer improvements and designated as ST -29 pending the issuance of bonds. On motion of Commissioner Wenger resolution was adopted and on roll call Nays 0. Mayor signed the resolution and it is numbered 1913. A resolution authorizing and providing for the issuance of temporary note the City of Salina, Kansas in the amount of $46,357.47 to pay a portion of the cost certain sewer improvements and designated as ST -30 pending the issuance of bonds. On motion of Commissioner Wenger resolution was adopted and on . Mayor signed the resolution and it is numbered 1914.
