DECEMBER 10th, 1957
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 10, 1957. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was:, called and Commissioners Exline,
McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Jaeger
absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 26, 1957; Board of Zoning
Appeals Meeting of November 26th, 1957; Meeting of December 3, 1957 and Zoning Board
Meeting of December 3rd, 1957 were read and approve d as read.
No per sons appeared to protest the rezoning of Lot 2, Block 8 in Replat of
Lots 1 to 15, Garden Homes Addition from Zone "A" to Zone "D".
Commissioner McCune mov(e)d that ordinance be introduced for first reading.

On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections

Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner- Jaeger absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6199.
Plat of Schippel Addition and petition filed.
Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Planning Commission.
Commissioner Ramsey moved that City Limit Ordinance be introduced for first
reading.

Letter presented from L. H. Wood regarding his petition filed for the rezoning

from Zone "A" to Zone "C".
Commissioner McCune moved to refer to City Planning Commission.

and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:

approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-879.

Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 10, 1957. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, McCune,
Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Jaeger absent.
The appraisers reports for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered
361 and 362 and for Country Club Heights Intercepting Sewers, (Job 359) were taken up
by the Board of Commissioners.
No protests.
Commissioner McCune moved that reports be approved as read.
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Meeting of Board of Zoning. Appeals December 10, 1957• Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and.Commissioners Exline, McCune,
Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Jaeger absent.
Notice of Hearing was held on Building Application filed by Fred Thun, for
to dwelling at 528 South Broadway, Salina, Kansas
No protests.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating
to the authorization of non-compliance with the Rear Yard Requirements of Section 8,
District "C" of Ordinance Number 5549for East 156 feet of a tract of land in the
Southwest Quarter (SW -14) of Section 14., Township 14., Range 3 West of the Sixth Prin-
cipal Meridian in Saline County, Kansasi, described as. follows: beginning at the west
line of U.S. Highway 81 By-pass, 141.7 feet north of the point where said west line
intersects with the south line of said section; thence.south 200 feet; thence west
156 feet; thence north 200 feet; thence east to the place of beginning in the City
of Salina, Saline County, Kansan."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was; had; Ayes: Exline,
McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Jaeger absent. Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1907.

to the authorization of non-compliance with the Side Yard Requirements of Section 6
of Ordinance Number 5549, for West 50 feet of Lot 9 and East 14 feet of Lot 8, Sun-
rise Addition, in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exlinee,
McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Jaeger absent. Mayor ap-
proved the resolution and it is Numbered 1908.
On motion of Commissioner Wenger, Board of Zoning Appeals adjourned.
