NOVEMBER 12, 1957
Regular Meeting of. the Board of Commis-sioners November 12th, 1957• Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll ..was called and Commissioners Exline,
Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded.
The minutes of,the Regular Meeting of November 5th, 1957 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced.for second reading.entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing for and authorizing the.issuance_of Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas
in the sum of $148,792.25 to pay the cost of constructing_main_sanitary sewers and cer-
tain lateral sanitary sewers and storm sewers and pumping station in the City of Salina,
Kansas, which bonds shall be designated/as Series S-177."
On motion of Co mmissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following votr was had; Ayes:
Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinanc
and it is Numbered 6195.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance author-
izing and providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas,
all in the sum of $466,407.31 to pay the cost of improving certain streets in said
City, to be designated as Series Number P-176."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: l0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered 6196.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: ,"An ordinance provid-
iggndor the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map
therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (6) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
ordinance and it is Numbered 6197.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein
and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City
and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner LcCune the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes. Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered 6198.
Commissioner McCune moved that resolution be introduced fot first reading
relating to the paving with concrete, Highland Avenue from south side of Leslie Avenue
to south line of Lot 10, Block 1, Gebhart Manor Addition, Salina, Kansas."

Plat filed for Blocks 4 and 6 Southern View Addition.
Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Planning and Zoning Commission.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for
on Fire Truck as follows:
Long -McArthur $3990.00
Fleming Motor Company $4975.00
Sid Bacon Motor Company $4217.72
Sullivan Chevrolet Company $4961.40
Commissioner Wenger moved to award contract to Long -McArthur for Ford Truck.
Carried.
On motion of Commissioner McCune Board of Commissioners adjourned.
