Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 5th, 1957• Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline,
Jae ger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Baeta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 29th, 1957 were read and approved
as read.
Pursuant to Notice published in the official City paper bids were received
for the sale of $466,407.30 curbing, guttering. and paving bonds (Series P-176) and
$148,792.25 Sewer Bonds, (Series S-177) as follows:

On motion of Commissioner -Wenger joint bid of Ster n Bros & Company and
Zahner and Company was, accepted as lowest interest cost to City. Cartcied.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance rati-
fying and confirming a contract with C. N. McCollum doing business as McCollum Con-
str action Company for the construction of a Lateral Sanitary Sewer in the City of
Salina, Kansas, heretofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer 366, and providing
for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost ther eof pending the issuance and
sale of bonds." .
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vo a was had;
Ayes: Exline, Jaeger , McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered 6194.
No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning to "F" a tract of
ground west of the Mdhaelsen Lumber Company, 612 South Broadway, Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Wenger, Zoning Ordinance was Cintroduced for first

Ordinance passed:
No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning to "D" of 5.18 acres in
the Northwes t corner? of Lot 2, Surveyor's Plat 34, City of Salina, K ansaf (South-
east corner of Iron Avenue and Iowa Str eet.)
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey Zoning Ordinance was introduced for first

Letter presented from City Planning Commission relating to petition filed
by L. H. Wood for the rezoning of Lots 1, 21 9 and 10, Plat 3, Lamer -'s Second Sub -
Division to the City of Salina, Kansas.
Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer back to petitioner. Carried. •

On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Exline, Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi-
nance and it is Numbered A-874.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an

City Manager reported on Petition Number 1939 for the paving on a portion of
Highland Ave me in Gebhart Manor Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, fronting
upon Lots 2 to 10 inclusive in Block 1 and Lots 1 to 7 inclusive in Block 2, of said
addition.
Commissioner -Ramsey moved to approve for Resolution. Carried.
Mayor's Proclamation for November 11th, 1957, (:Veterans Day).
