Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 15th, 1957. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Exline, t e roll was called and Commissioners Exline,
Jaeger, McCune and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Ramsey
absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 8th, 1957 and Meeting of Board
of Zoning Appeals of October 8th, 1957 were read and approved as read.
Commissioner Wenger moved that resolution be introduced for first reading re-
lating to the paving with concrete, Franklin Street from Tenth Street to Eleventh Street

City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary Sewers Numbered 366 and 367.
Approved by Commissioner McCune. Carried.
Commissioner McCune moved that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids •
for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered 363, 364 and 367, to be re-
ceived up to and including October 22nd, 1957 at four o'clock P. M. Carried.
Commissioner Wenger moved that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids
for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 366, to be received up to and
including October 29th, 1957 at four o'clock P. M. Carried.
Wilson Engineering Company filed Estimate. Number 1 in the amount of $23,628.45
to Wilmoth Construction Company for Salina Municipal Airport improvements.
Approved by Commissioner Jaeger. Carried.
Application was presented for the construction of a driveway at 684 South Broad-
way, for Storey -Harris Tire Company.
Approved by Commissioner Jaeger. Carried.
I. W. Olson and Niels F. Olson, d/b/a "Ace High Tavern" asked permission to
transfer their Beer License Number 2961 from 129 North Fifth Street to 138 North Fifth
Street.
Approved by Commissioner McCune. Carried.
Commissioner Wenger moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading amend-
ing Ordinance Number 6138 to include Country Club Heights Addition Number 3, in Inter-
cepting Sewer Country Club District.

An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was ead and adopted by sections •
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Exline, Jaeger, McCune and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-872.
On motion of Commissioner McCune the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals, October 15th, 1957. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Exl.ine, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Jaeger, McCune
and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Ramsey absent.
Notice of Hearing was held on Appeal Notice filed by Norval Sledd for off-
street requirements of Ordinanoe No. 5549 for Lot 10, Block 2, Calkin's Addition to
City of Salina, Kansas. (600 North Ninth Street).
No protests.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution relating to
the authorization of non-compliance with the Off -Street Parking Requirements of
• Ordinance Number 5549, for Lbt 10, Block 2, in Calkin's Addition on North Ninth Street
in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline,
Jaeger, McCune and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent. Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 1897.
On motion of Commissioner McCune the Board of Zoning Appeals adjourned.
