OCTOBER 1, 1957
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners. October 1, 1957. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Jaeger,
McCune and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Wenger absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 24th, 1957 and Meeting of Eoard
of Zoning Appeals were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second.reading entitled: "An ordinance rati-
fying and confirming a.contract with t e O.D. Wilmoth Construction Company for the con-
struction of certain curbing, gutteri.ng,.paving and grading improvements on certain
streets in the City of Salina,. Kansas., and. providing for the issuance of temporary notes
to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections

and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Exline, Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6187.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance rati-
fying and confirming a contract with Brown and Brown, Inc., for the construction of
certain paving and grading improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas,
and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the
issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Exline, Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6188.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creat-
ing and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas
designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 366 and providing for the con-
struction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number
366, so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying
of special assessments against the property in said district for the payment of the
cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Exline, Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6189.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Knollcrest Drive thirty-three
(33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb with two 2 inch hot asphalt mix over
a six (6) inch crushed rock base, from the east line of iliarymount Road to the west line
of Helrose Lane."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline,
Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 1880.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Melrose Lane thirty-three
(33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, with two 2 inch hot asphalt mix
over a six (6) inch crushed rock base, from the north line of Knollcrest Drive to the
east line of Seitz Drive."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution wasadopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline,
Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 1881.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: ;A resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Edgehill Road thirty-three (33)
feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, with two 2 inch -hot asphalt over a six
• (6) inch crushed rock base, from the south line of Knollcrest Drive to the east line
of Seitz Drive."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline,
Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 1882.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Fairdale Road thirty-three (33)
feet wide from back of curb to back of.curb, with two 2 inch hot asphalt mix over a
six (6) inch crushed rock base, from the.north line of Edgehill Road to the south line
of Overhill Road."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was.called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline,
Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) -Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 1883.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution relat-

of Melrose Lane."

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Hilldale Road thirty-three (33)
feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, with reinforced concrete, from the north
line of Melrose Lane to the north line of Lot 6, Block 4, of Country Club Heights Addi-
tion Number 3•"
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline,
Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 1885.
