A resolution was introduced i'or secondreading entitled: "A Resolution de- termining necessity of and directing that the owner or owners of certain lots construct, in compliance with plans and specifications of the City Engineer, a sidewalk abutting said lots within 30 days of the adoption and publication hereof and providing that in the event the owner or owners fail to do so, that the City o Dalin; shall proceed to construct or cause tobe constructed said sidewalk and that the tot.l cost thereof shall be assessed against such lot or lots on which such sidewalk shall abut as other special assessments." Commissioner Wenger absent. Hearing was held on Appeal Notice filed by L. C. Helbert, regarding Side Yard Requirements on Prescott Avenue, for the East 155 feet of Lots 14, 15 16 and East 155 feet of South 25 feet of Lot 13, on South Eighth Street, Beebe's Addition to Salina, Kansas. Protest Petition filed. Commissioner McCune moved that Building Application be denied. Carried. Application for Building Permit to erect a building on the East 62 feet 6 inches of Lots 15 and 16, Block 3, Southern Heights Addition was presented from A.A. Riker.
