The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 16, 1957 were read and approved
as read.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for
the construction of Main Sanitary Sewe "AE" and for Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered
357, 358, 359 and 360 as follows: (Engineer Job 358)
McCollum Construction Company, Salina, Kansas; $44,458.50
0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company, Salina, Kansas $50,365.50
City Engineer's Estimate $57,413.00 •
Commissioner Ramsey moved that contract be awarded to ''cCollumm Construction
Company as per bid submitted in the amount of $44,458.50; and check returned to un-
successful bidder. Carried.
Commissioner Ramsey moved that Contract Ordinance be introduced for first
reading. Carried. r

Mayor appointed J. Earl Wyatt, C. B. Dodge, Jr. and Harley Rose as appraisers
for Job Number 358.
Approved by Commissioner Ramsey.
Commissioner Ramsey moved that City Limit Ordinance be introduced for first
reading. Carried.

Commissioner McCune moved to award hose contract to Tom Ferguson as per bid
submitted in the amount of $9080.00. Carried.
Commissioner Ramsey moved to award fire truck equipment to Safety Equipment •
Company as per bid submitted in the amount of $8568.00. Carried.
Sidewalk on East Republic (North side) from Roach to Pearl. (Petition)
Referred to City Manager by Commissioner Ramsey.
Petition presented for the curbing, guttering and paving of Lincoln Avenue
from Tenth to Eleventh Street.
Referred to City Manager by Commissioner Jaeger.
Harold Jaeger appointed to City -County Health Board in place of Co mmissioner
Lake.
Application for permit to construct a driveway at Sanborn Canary Motel, 510
Broadway, was presented by Oscar IJi. Wilbur.
Approved by Commissioner Ramsey. Carried.
