COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS
DECEMBER 18, 1956
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commission rs December 18, 1956. Meeting
was, called to order by Mayor Hawkes, the roll was called and Commission rs Hawkes,
Exline, Lake, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Basta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 11, 1956 and Meeting of Board
of Zoning Appeals of December 11, 1956 were read and approved as read.
A resolution was introduced and passed relating to Flood Protection for the
City of Salina, Kansas.
On motion o Commissioner Wenger the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hawkes,
Exline, Lake, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution
and it is Numbered 1779.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Pages 202 and 203 Resolution Book •
Number 6.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll cas- called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Hawkes, Exline, Lake, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
ordinance and it is Numbered A-831.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an

On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Hawkes, Exline, Lake, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
ordinance and it is Numbered A-832.
A petition was presented for the rezoning of the East 45 feet of the North 90
feet of Lot 24, Plat "G` to the City of Salina, Kansas,.
Petition referred to City Planning Commission.
City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for Ingermanson Storm Sewer.
Commissioner Exline moved to accept and set date for bids January '15, 1957.
Carried.
Nierle Ashton appeared regarding an unloading zone -at his store on West
Crawford Avenue.
Commissioner Lake moved to leave ordinance for no parking in front of Ashton •
Grocery, in force. Carried.
Wilson and Company, Engineers, filed plans and specifications for Iron Avenue
Bridge for Flood Control.
Commissioner Wenger moved to approve and receive bids, January 29th, 1956.
Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Wenger Board of Commissioners adjourned.
