11-27-1956 Minutes• 1 1 • n LJ COMMISSIONERS PROCEELINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. NOVEMBER 27, 1956 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 27, 1956. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Lake and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioners Hawkes and Wenger absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 20, 1956 wereiead and approved as read. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and paving and grading of Eleventh Street (37 feet wide back of curb to back of curb) from the north line of Broadway B6ulevard to the north line of Pacific Avenue." On motion of Commissioner Lake the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Lake and Ramsey (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Hawkes and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1775. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 196 Resolution Book 6. A resolution was introduced ror second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Lewis Avenue twenty-eight (28) feet wide toe of gutter to toe of gutter, with two (2) inch hot asphalt mix over a six (6) inch rock base, from the north line of Ellsworth Avenue to the south line of Minneapolis Avenue." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Lake and Ramsey (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Hawkes and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1776. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 197 Resolution Book 6. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance rati- fying and confirming a contract with 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Companyfor the con struction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sewers and Pumping Station to the City of Salina, Kansas, heretofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 351, 352, 353, and Pumping Station for Lateral Sewer 353, #nd providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof -pending issuance and sale of bonds." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Lake and Ramsey (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Hawkes and Wenger absent. Act- ing Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6108. A petition was presented for the extension of the sewer between Claflin and Russell Street, to a point 200 feet, east. Petition referred to City Manager. Commissioner Lake moved to accept Airport Plans and Specifications filed by Wilson and Company, Engineers. Carried. Commissioner Lake moved that an ordinance be introduced for first reading relat- ing; to special assessments for Sanitary Sewers.
