10-11-2007 Minutes S ALINA/S ALINE C OUNTY L AW E NFORCEMENT A DVISORY C OMMITTEE O CTOBER 11, 2007 The Police Advisory Committee met in the SPD Conference Room #207 at 0700 on Thursday, October 11, 2007. Members Present: Earl Bess, Tony Blair, Richard Frye, James D. Hill, Glen Kochanowski, Bill Gerry, Recording Secretary Ann Haden. The committee reviewed and recommended changes to the bylaws draft which had been e- mailed earlier in the week. A motion was made by Earl Bess, and second by Tony Blair to accept the bylaws as corrected. Majority vote passed the motion. Corrections will be made and the approved bylaws will be distributed to all members. All officers attend annual training on Racial Profiling. Members of the Law Enforcement Advisory committee will be invited to attend this training. Sheriff Kochanowski will attempt to locate at least one Saline County resident to serve on the advisory board. There are seven positions on the board and three are currently open. Officers were elected, with Tony Blair being selected as President and Lucy Corley selected as Vice President, pending her acceptance of the position. Board members are invited to attend the annual departmental Racial Profiling Training. Each class will last an hour and you can choose from any of the four classes listed below.
