Members Present: Dorothy Armster, Tony Blair, Lucila Corley, Gary Cummings, James D. Hill, Glen
Kochanowski, Bill Gerry, Recording Secretary Ann Haden. President Tony Blair brought the meeting
to order.
Minutes of the June 9, 2011 meeting were approved as presented.
New Business.
Lucy received a complaint about officer misconduct during a citizen contact. Lucy advised the
individual to contact Lt. Gerry. No contact has been made at this time.
Tony advised there is an element within the community that seems to prey on Hispanic
families possibly due to their being uncomfortable about contacting law enforcement. Lucy
will research this issue and publish an article in La Voz advising families how to prevent being
scammed.
Complaints.
Lt. Gerry advised there were no complaints.
Sheriff Kochanowski advised the Sheriff’s Office received one complaint in June which was
unfounded.
Old Business.

The next scheduled meeting is October 13, 2011, 0700 at 255 N. 10, in Room 207 of the Salina
Police Department.
