12-13-2012 Minutes S ALINA/S ALINE C OUNTY L AW E NFORCEMENT A DVISORY C OMMITTEE D ECEMBER 13, 2012 Members Present: Dorothy Armster, Tony Blair, Lucila Corley, Gary Cummings, Robert Cunningham, Teresa Hernandez, Joel Wimer, James D. Hill, Glen Kochanowski, Bill Gerry. President Tony Blair brought the meeting to order. Minutes of the October 11, 2012 meeting were approved with correction of Robert W. Cunningham to Robert M. Cunningham. Motioned by Gary Cummings, seconded by Lucila Corley. New Business.  Elections were held for the following positions:  Robert M. Cunningham was elected to a three-year term as board member (position #1). Motion by Dorothy Armster, second Gary Cummings.  Tony Blair was re-elected to a three-year term as board member (position #2). Motion by Dorothy Armster, second Joel Wimer.  Lucila Corley was re-elected to a three-year term as board member (position #3). Motion by Gary Cummings, second Teresa Hernandez.  Lucy Corley was elected by ballot to the position of President for a two year term.  Gary Cummings was elected by ballot to the position of Vice President for a one year term. Complaints.  Lt. Gerry advised there were no racial profiling complaints to review.  Sheriff Kochanowski advised the Sheriff’s Office had two complaints that were investigated. Investigations have been completed and cases closed. Old Business.  Lt. Gerry advised the Accreditation on-site went well and the police department has completed another successful re-accreditation. He appreciated the comments and support from board members during the open public meeting. Inside Glimpse  Investigator Scott Hogeland of the Salina Police Department Criminal Investigation Bureau spoke with committee members on the purpose and scope of services provided by the Special Response Team. th The next scheduled meeting is February 14, 2013, 0700 at 255 North 10 Street, Salina Police Department.
