Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 19, 1963, Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler
and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 12, 1963 were read and approved.
Bids were received on the water plant improvements. On motion of Commissioner
Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the bids were referred to Wilson & Company,
Engineers & Architects, to check and make a report. Carried.
A report was made on the water department truck bids that were received on March 12,
1963. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the bid was awarded
to the Warta Motor Co. for $5,628.00. Carried.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution changing certain
charges in the operation of the Gypsum Hill Cemetery and amending Resolution Number 2096."
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the resolution was •
approved as read and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Banker, Bull and Tucker
(4) Nays: Spangler (1) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2699. Carried.
Petition number 2673 opening Indiana Avenue from Iron to Stapler - see petition
number 2675.
Petition number 2675 was filed for the curbing, guttering and paving of Indiana Ave.
from Iron to Stapler.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the petition was
referred to the City Manager. Carried.

introduced for first reading for the curbing, guttering paving of Northwood from Beech-
wood to Driftwood. Carried.

On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull a resolution was
introduced for first reading for the curbing, guttering and paving of Driftwood from
Northwood to Greeley. Carried.

On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Banker an ordinance was
introduced for first reading for a Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 483. Carried.

On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull an ordinance was •
introduced for first reading for construction of certain side/walks. Carried.

On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull a supplemental
agreement with the Kansas Industrial Development Commission, State Planning Division was
approved. Carried.
A letter was received from R. E. Greiner asking that petition number 2520 for rezoning
of Block 23 in Belmont Addition be referred back to the Planning Commission.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the letter was
referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried.
An electricians bond was filed by Ross and Don Goodnight d/b/a Goodnight Electric.
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by
Commissioner Bull the bond was approved.
Carried.
On motion
of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Tucker an ordinance was
introduced for
first reading regarding cereal
malt beverages. Carried.

An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
approporiation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes:
Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered A--1163. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Spangler the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

***** Petition number 2676 was filed for the curbing, guttering and paving of
Northwood from Beechwood to Driftwood and curbing, guttering and paving of Driftwood
from Northwood to Greeley.
The petition was checked by the Engineering Department and found to have 50%
in favor of the improvement.
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was
approved for resolution. Carried.
