01-15-1963 Minutes1 1 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM Salina, Kansas January 15, 1963 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 15, 1963. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 8, 1963 were read and approved. Fire Chief Travis made his report on bids for fire equipment as follows: 2000' Hose Ray Fundenberger Hutchinson, Kansas $2.25 per ft. Fire Truck Long McArthur, Inc. $5,870.29 Equipment General Safety Equipment Corp. $10,114.26 Ray Fundenberger, Agent On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the report was approved. Carried. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 6613 and the Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6685. Carried. Ordinance introduced for first reading 1-8-63. Cereal Malt Beverage Application was filed by Joyce Hahn d/b/a Peppermint Lounge 136 N. Santa Fe. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the application was approved. Carried. Petition number 2658 was filed for curb, gutter & paving Riverside Dr. from I Columbia to Kansas. On motion of Commissioner Tucker seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was referred to the City Manager. Carried. Petition number 2659 was filed for rezoning Lots 37 & 39, Block 3 Riverside Park Addition to Zone "B". On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker an ordinance was introduced for first readin for an addition to the City Limits. / • Ordinance Passed:Number On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler the City Attorney was ordered to prepare a charter ordinance setting salary of the Mayor at $150.00 per month and the City Commissioners at $100.00 per month, to be voted on at the General City Election. Carried. 1 0 Aa ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." I On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the ordinance was f adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Banker, Bull, Spanglef.and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1153.
