10-16-1962 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS. REGULAR MEETING • COMMISSIONERS ROOM Salina, Kansas October 16, 1962 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissiongrs October 16, 1962. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 9, 1962 were read & approved. Bids that were received on the Waste Disposal Truck on October 9, 1962 were awarded to Sid Bacon Motor,Co. - $3,489.71. Approved by Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker. Carried. Thirty day notice up on the rezoning of Lot 7, Block 1, Bonds Addition to Zone "C" and Lot 2, Plat B to Zone "DD". No protests written or oral. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Banker the ordinance • was introduced for first reading. Ordinance passed: �� ��5 Number A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution authorizing and ordering certain street, sidewalk, sewer and water mains and hydrant improvements, ordering preparation of plans and specifcations and the estimate of costs." On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 2665. Carried. Carried. A letter was received from the City Planning Commission and referred to the City ! Attorney. City Engineer filed final estimate on Drainage Ditch No.l- G. D. Byler in the amount of $2,773.59. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the estimate was approved. Carried. i Petition number 2637 was filed by Key Homes, Inc., for the curb, gutter, water sewer j and storm sewer inlets on Dover in Replat of Tally Addition. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was referred to the City Manager. Carried. Petitim number 2638 was filed for the curbing, guttering & paving of Beechwood between Northwood & Greel-ey. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was referred to the City Manager. Carried. j Petition number 2639 was filed for the curbing, guttering & paving of Greeley between Beechwood & Driftwood. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Buil the pdi.tion was referred to the City Manager. Carried. Petition number 2640 was filed for sewer service to Riker Manor school site at Greeley & beechwood. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was referred to the City Manager. Carried. Petition number 2641 was filed for the city water service to Wiker Manor school site at Greeley & Beechwood. i On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was referred to the City Manager. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was referred to the City Manager. Carried. Petition number 2643 was filed for the rezoning of: A tract of land in the south- east quarter of section one, township fourteen south, range three west of the 6th PM in Salina, Saline County, Kansas described as follows: 200' north of U. S. Highway 40 and 200' west of Ohio Street extended. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1140.
