Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners September 4, 1962. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Banker, Bull,
Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 21, 1962 were read & approved.
Thirty day notice up on the rezoning of the East 156 feet of Lot 3, Plat 4, Lamers
Second Sub -division to district "B". No protests written or oral.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the zoning ordinance
was introduced for first reading.
Ordinance passed: Number
Letter of approval was received from the City Planning Commission regarding petition
2615 filed by Sid Erway for rezoning Lot 7, Block 1, Bonds Addition to District "C".
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler the letter was •
accepted and the City Clerk was instructed to publish notice. Carried.
Letter of approval was received from the City Planning Commission regarding petition
2630 filed by R. A. Hansmann for rezoning Lot 2, Plat B to District "DD".
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the letter was
accepted and the City Clerk was instructed to publish notice. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler the supplemental
agreement with Salina Flite Inc. was approved & accepted. Carried.
City Engineer filed partial estimate no. 9 for Job 414 in the amount of $2,635.20
Brown & Brown, Inc.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler the estimate was
approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed partial estimate no. 2 on Job 423 - Brown & Brown, Inc. in the
amount of $21,185.81.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler the estimate was
approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed partial estimate no. 2 on Job 424 - Brown & Brown, Inc. in the
amount of $25,290.81.
On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the estimate was
approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed partial estimate no. 2 on Job 422 - Construction Industries, Inc. •
in the amount of $15,518.97.
On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the estimate was
approved. Carried.

On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the estimate was
approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed estimate no. 6 on Sanitary Trunk Lines - ABC Construction
Company in the amount of $44,689.50.
On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the estimate was
approved. Carried.
A concrete Construction Bond was filed by Robert G. Prater. On motion of Commissioner
Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the bond was approved. Carried.
A lease agreement was filed by the Whittaker Advertising Co. On motion of Commissioner •
Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the lease was approved in the amount of $100.00 per
year. Carried.

A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution approving the lease
agreement with Whittaker Advertising Co., Inc.
On motirn of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the resolution was
adopted as read and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline,
Bull, Banker, Tucker and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it
is numbered 2649. Carried.
Appraisers report filed for Job 414 - curbing, gutter & paving certain streets.
On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the report was
approved and the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for Hearing on September 25,
1962. Carried.
Appraisers report filed for Job 415 - curbing, gutter & paving certain streets.
On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the report was
approved and the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for Hearing September 25, 1962
Carried.
Appraisers report filed for Job 410 - curbing, gutter & paving certain streets.
` On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the report was
approved and the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for Hearing on September 25,
1962. Carried.
City Engineer filed plans and specification for Foundation for Key Acres Water
Tower.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler the plans and
specifications were accepted and the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids
for September 18, 1962. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."

On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler the ordinance
was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had;
Ayes: Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
ordinance and it is numbered A-1134. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an

was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the rollowing vote was had;

ordinance and it is numbered A-1135. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Bull the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
