Regular Meeting of Board of Commissioners June 26, 1962. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Banker, BiLU..
Spangler amd Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
Minutes of June 19th, 1902 read and approved as read.

Recommending that property occupied by Keck's Steak House, Howard Johnson Motel
and Olson Veterinarian Hospital, described as all of Lots 8 and 9 and the West 111.2
feet of Lot 1, Block 1, Key Acres Addition to t he City of Salina, Kansas, be rezoned
from District "A" to District "D", Local Business.

guttering, paving and grading of Spruce Street with concrete, (33,) feet wide, from

south line of Spruce Street."

vote; Ayes: Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor ap-
proved the resolution and it is Numbered 2636.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by B anker resolution introduced for first reading
for sidewalk adjacent to Lots 6,7,8 and 9, West Evergreen Park Addition and Lot 14,

Ordinance second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a
• contract with Construction Industries, Inc., for the construction of certain improve-
ments on certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the issuance
of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
Motion by Tucker, seconded by Bull ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi-
nance andit is Numbered 6636. Ordinance first reading: June 19, 1962.

Motion by Tucker, seconded by Bull, Hearing extended to July 3, 1962. Carried.
. Mr. Al Mader,Safety Consultant of State Highway Department presented award to
Salina Police $partment.
Petition for rezoning Lot 7, Block 1, Bond's Addition, Salina., Kansas from Dis-
trict "A" to District "C".
Motion by Bull, seconded by Tucker refer to City Planning Commission. Carried.
Petition to vacate: five (5) feet on each side of the twenty (20) foot easement
from Quincy Street through to Kensington between Lots 16,17 and 18 on Quincy and be-
tween Lots 5 and 6 on Kensington in Block 5, in the City of Salina, Kansas.
Motion by Bull, seconded by Tucker refer to City Manager. Carried.
