Meeting was called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Bull and Spangler and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Commissioners Banker and Tucker absent. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 12th, 1962 read and approved. Bids received for one Police Car. Motion by Bull, seconded by Spangler refer to City Manager for checking. Carried. Bids on improvements in Faith Addition (Job 1422) Construction Industries, Inc., $58,145..00 Brown & Brown, Inc., $59,222.00 Engineers Estimate $59,1457.50 Motion by Spangler., seconded by Bull award to Construction Industries, Inc, as • per bid submitted in the amount of $58,1.45.00. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Bull, contract ordinance fo improvements inFaith Addition (Job 1422) introduced for f' st readin g. / Ordinance passed: ��� ��� 1 �n Number: ci � The City Clerk reported that the assessment rolls for the following improvement to -wit The Off -Street Parking Project consisting of the construction of Seven Off -Street Parking Lots, including the purchase of property, removal of buildings, filling and level=ing of the sites, construction of curb, paving, drainage and arcades, as authorized by Resolution Number 2292, passed by the Board of Commissioners on the 12th day of January 1960 has been determined and that final costs have been filed by the City Engineer. Commissioner Bulbmade motion that the City Clerk be directed to publish notice in the official City paper at least once, not less than ten days prior to the date of July 3rd, 1962, the date set for the hearing on said assessments, and that at the same time notice is published, to mail to the owners of property made liable to pay the assessments, at their last known postoffice address, a notice of the Hearing, and a statement of the cost proposed to be assessed against the land so owned and assessed. Mayor Exline asked City Manager to have another Traffic Count made and report in two weeks if possible. Carried.
