Meeting was called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. read. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 22, 1962 were read and approved as. Bids on Refuse Trucks. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Bull refer to City Manager for checking. Carried Bids on three wheel Traffic Control Vehicles. Motion by T ucker seconded by Bull refer to City Manager for checking. Carried. Bids on three -wheel Servi-Cycle Machines. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker refer to City Manager for checking. Bids on Elevated Water Storage Tank in Key Acres Addition. Motion by Bull, seconded by Tucker refer to Engineersfor checking. Carried. • Thirty -day Notice held over, May 22, 1962 for rezoning North 72 feet of East 100 feet Lot 9, Surveyor's Plat "A" to "DD"' Office District. Vance Miller appeared to protest. Motion by Bull, seconded by Tucker refer to City Attorney. Motion by Bull, seconded by Tucker, Zoning Amendment Ordinance for rezoning North 72 feet of East 100 feet Lot9, Surveyor's Plat "A" to "DD" , Office District , intro duced for first reading. Laughlin for rezoning a portion of land near White Street to "D" Zone be granted. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker approve and City Clerk publish notice. Letter from City Planning Commission recommending that Petition Number 2595 filed by Dan Bolen for rezoning Lot 2, Block 6, Bond's Addition to "DD"' Zone be granted. Ordinance second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract with J. S. Frank Construction Compank for the construction of Off -Street Par ing Contract 102, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds." Motion by Bull seconded by Spangler ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exlirs, Banker, Bull, Spangler and Tricker (5) Nays:. (0) Mayor approved the ordi- nance and it is Numbered 6630. Ordinance first reading May 22, 1962. Ordinance introduced f or second reaing entitled: An ordinance providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 6613 and Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and pre- scribing the proper uses thereof." Ordinance introduced May 22, 1962. Application for Permit to construct Recessed Parking Area, Lot 1, Block 1, Bond Addition, between Ninth Street and Highland Avenue. Motion by Bull, seconded by Spangler approve. Carried. Application for driveway 13.5 feet long by 40 feet wide, south side of Antrim Avenue between Eighth Street and Ninth Street received from Wm. Reimold. Held over one week. Petition for sidewalk on North side of Cloud from Pershing to Eleventh. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker refer to City Manager. Petition for permission to connect to and extend a municipal water line and a municipal sewer line outside of the corporate limits of he City of Salina, Kansas, and to enter into an equitable agreement with the City of Salina to pay for said water and sewer services received from Kenn6th and Merl Nordboe. Motion by Bull seconded by Tucker refer to City Manager. Carried. Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License received from Eunice E. Bryant d/b/a "E & I Tavern" 122 West Pacific. Motion by Banker; seconded by Spangler approve. Carried. Pipe Line License covering under track crossing of storm sewer in Front Street received from Santa Fe Railroad Company. Motion by Bull, seconded by Tucker approve. Carried. Motion by Bull, seconded by Spangler, City Manager get recommendation for No - Parking on Crawford Avenue from Ohio to Broadway Boulevard.
