Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 3, 1962. Meeting was
called to order by Acting Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline,
Banker, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Commissioner Bull
absent.
Minutes of Regular Meeting of Parch 27th, 1962 and Zoning Board Meeting of
March 27th, 1962 read and approved as read.
Bids on two-way radios.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker hold one week for checking. Carried.
Bids on gasoline for Street Department tanks.
Motion by T ucker, seconded by Spangler award bid to Hi -Quality Lo -Cost Ser-
vice Station, Inc., subject to approval of City Manager. Carried.

Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker refer to City Planning Commission.

Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution directing and order-
ing a public hearing on the advisability of street, sewer and water mains and hydrant
improvements in certain districts and giving notice of such hearing."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as read by the fol-
lowing vote; Ayes: Exline, Banker, Spangler and Tucker (4) Nays:. (0) Commission-
er Bull absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2600.
Ordinance introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing
for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein
and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the
City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the follorwing vote was had:

Ordinance introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying
and confirming a contract with the B. J. Frick and Company for the construction of
certain sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas, heretofore designated as Engineering
Job 121, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof
pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker ordinance wasxead and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;

sewer and water service pipes and connections in certain streets -in the City of
Salina, Kansas."

side of Iron Avenue 100 Block West; No Parking East side of Roach in front of Grace Stewa
School.

Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker, instruct City Engineer to proceed with
North Ohio from River to Pacific Street, with report to include in City limits and cost
of other improvements. Carried.
Robert Crawford filed Revised Plans on Sanitary Sewer Trunk Lines.
Motion by Tucker, seconded by Spangler accept and set date for bids April 24th,
1962 at four o'clock P. M. Carried.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker that proceedings be started for improvements
on Johnstown Avenue. Carried.
