Regular Meeting of Board of Commissioners March 27th 1962. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker, Exline,
Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 20th, 1962 read and approved as read.
Bids received for sidewalk construction (Job 421) as follows:
B.J.Frick and Company $829.40
O.M. Wilbur Construction Company $1057.40
Engineer's Estimate $1154.00
Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker award contract to B. J. Frick and Company,
low bidder. Carried.
Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker Sidewalk ContrabtOrdinance introduced for

Manager's final approval. Carried.
City Planning Commission letter and Petition Number 2565 for rezoning the
North-west corner of Crawford Avenue and Front Street. y
Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler refer to City Planning Commission for
Joint Meeting. Carried.
Thirty -day Notice up on rezoning the following property:

Ordinance introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance condemning
certain land within the City of Salina, Kansas,for the use of said City in the reloca-
tion and improvement of Highland Avenue, a main trafficway within the City of Salina,
Kansas, from a point approximately two hundred twenty-five (225) feet south of its
intersection with Prescott Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction to a point
where South Eighth Street intersects Prescott Avenue. and providing that the costs
thereof shall be paid by the City at large in accordance with G.S. 1961 Supp.12-689."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline ordinance was read and adopted by sections
6 and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:

and it is Numbered 6611. Ordinance introduced March 20, 1962.

Petition to deny rezoning of North 30 feet of Lot 271 Santa Fe Avenue, Grounds
of Kansas Wesleyan University Addition.
Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler file with Rezoning Petition. Carried.
Petition fbr paving Neal Avenue from West Right -of -Way of Union Pacific Railroad
to a point 200 feet East of the East Right-of-way of said railroad.
Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler refer to City Manager.
Appraisers Reports filed for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered
136, 438, 440 and 441 ( Sewer Job 413) .
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker accept and publish Notice for Hearing to
be held Tuesday, April 10th, 1962 at four o'clock P. M. Carried.
Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler ordinance introduced for first reading
levying special assessments for street improvements provided for in Job 404.

Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline that City Planner, Dick Preston, proceed
with necessary steps to put in operation Plan 701 for Overall Planning Program for the
City of Salina, Kansas. Carried.

by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker, Exline., Spangler
and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded.

McAdams Road.
Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler hold over one week. Carried.
