Meeting was called to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, B anker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids received for Sewage Treatment Plant Improvements, Salina, Kansas as follows: Wea Constructors, Inc., Paola, Kansas Jarvis Construction Company, Salina, Kansas Utilities Engineering & Construction Company, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Busboom and Rauh, Salina, Kansas Dondlinger & Sons Construction Company, Inc., Wichita, Kansas Purtzer and Dutton, Norton, Kansas Engineer's Estimate $794,800.00 $858,500.00 $864,852.00 $877,600.00 $903,015.00 $911095.00 $919,000.00 Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler bids referred to Engineers for check- ing and report. Carried. The following letters received from City Planning Commission: Recommending that Petition Number 2568 filed by Ralph E. Brown for the rezoning of Lots 1,20 and 4 of Block 7, of the Replat of Lots 1-15 of Garden Home Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas_ from "C" to "D" be granted. Motion by Exli.ne, seconded by Tucker accept and City Clerk advertise for hearing., Carried. i Recommending that Petition Number 2565 from Leonard Wood for the rezoning of the east 110 feet of Lots 42, 40 and 38 Block 4, in VanTrines Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas from"C" to "D" not be granted. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker, approve. { 1In compliance with Resolution Number 2593 City Engineer filed survey and descrip- i tion of land for relocation and improving Highland Avenue from a point approximately 225 feet south of its intersection with Prescott Avenue, northward to a point at the intersection of Prescott Avenue and Eighth Street. Motion by Tucker, seconded by Exline accept. Carried. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker refer Highland Avenue and Prescott Aven- ue relocating to City Attorney to proceed to acquire land. Carried. Petition presented to deny any and all requests or petitions to rezone any portion of what was formerly Lots 1,2,4 and 6 in the Village of Leroto, Saline County, Kansas from District "A" to Distriht "D" or "B". Motion by Tucker seconded by Exline, refer to City Planning Commission. Petition present to deny any and all requests or petitions to rezone Lot 11, Block 4, Schippel's Addition, Salina, Kansas from District "A" to District "D". Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 13,1 962. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Hearing was held on Appraisers Report for constructing Main Sanitary Sewer "AH" and Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 379, all in Upper Mill Heights Addition in the City of Salina, Kansas. No protests. Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler Appraisers Report approved. Carried. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline ordinance intrpduced for first reading levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground for the cost of con- structing Main Sanitary Sewer "AH"t and Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 379 in the City _ of Salina, Kansas.
