Meeting was called to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker, Ex - line, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 27th, 1962 read and approved. Report from Wilson and Company, Engineers, regarding Sewer Plans and Bids. Charter Ordinance Number 1, second reading. Held over from February 27, 1962. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline, ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:' Exline, Spangler and Tucker (3) Nays: Bull and Banker (2). Did not carry. Ordinance introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the vacation of Crestwood Road between Greeley Avenue and Northwood Lane in the Riker Manor Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas." • Motion by Spangler., seconded by Banker ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following wte was had; I Ayes: Bull, B anker, Exline, Spangler a d Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6605. Ordinance introduced February 27 , 1962. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: f'An ordinance provid ing forthe method of making application for water service, providing for cash deposit prior to commencement of service, and provisions for payment of interest and return of said deposit." Motion by Tucker, seconded by Exline, ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6606. Ordinance introduced: February 27, 1962. An ordinance was introduced for secondreading entitled: "An ordinance prescrib ing the method of billing for water sewage service and providing for disconnectionn 1 of said service in the event of non-payment and providing a reconnection charge amending Section 6 of Ordinance No. 6515 and repealing said original section." Ordinance passed: Number �_ O City Manager reported on Petition Number 2574 for permission to install and construct curb sidewalk on all sides of Block 2, Johnson's Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas. (Not 100%) Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker return to Petitioners. Carried. City Manager reported on Petition Number 2573 for installation of sewers, water mains and services; concrete pavement with rollback curb, Delaware Drive, Indian Rock Lane to Stratford Drive; Arlington Drive, Stratford D"'ive and Indiana from Greeley to Arlington Drive. 100%. Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker approve. Carried. Petition for rezoning from "A" to "D", 1 to 4 inclusive; Block 7; Lots 5,7,9, 11,13,15,17,19 B lock 7; 1 to 4 inclusive Block 10. The following lots from "A" to "C": Lots 6,8,20,22,21,26 Block 7,; L is 5-12 inclusive Block 10. The following Lots "A" to "B", Lot 25, Block 7, all in Sgalimar Ptaza Addition. Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker refer to City Planning Commission. City Planning Commission filed Final Report on recommended changes in Zoning Ordinance. Motion by Spangler, seconded by B anker study one week. Put on agenda for March 13th, 1962. Carried. Agreement with Beard and Gabelman Inc., 2610 Grand Avenue, Kansas: City Missouri hereinafter referred to as"B & G, "and the City of Salina, Kansas, hereinafter 'referred to as "City." Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker approve and authorize City Attorney to start Proceedings to acquire space for Arcade. Carried. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline accept Turn -Around points to be cons on the levee where the new Interstate Highway 1-35-W crosses the levee on the Carlin farm west of Mentor, Kansas. Contract with J.S.Frank Construction Company for Community Fallout Shelter., in Salina, Kansas. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline approve. Carried. Agreement with Anderson -Johnson, Architects on Utilities and Storage Building for Salina, Kansas Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler approve. Carried. Advertise f or bids to be received March 20th, 1962 at four o'clock P. M. on two new Police Cars. Motion by Tucker seconded by Exline, approve for Manual Standard Transmission. Carried. City Engineer. filed Estimate Number 4 in the amount of 310,120.56 to Wilmoth Construction for Job 41.5. Motion by Tucker, seconded by Exline approve. Carried. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker ordinance introduced for first reading: providing for the vacation ofeertain easements located in Block Two in Key Acres Ad- dition to the City of Salina,Saline County, Kansas.. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker, Ex1ine, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Building application from Sidney L Tanner for addition to one -family dwelling at 831 Charles Street. (Waiver of front yard requirements). Motion by Tucker, seconded by Exline application denied.
