Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Banker, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Commissioner Bull absent. T he minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 6th, 1962 and Zoning Board Meet ing of February 6th, 1962 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for secondreading entitled: "An ordinance desig- nating and establishing certain parts of Crawford Avenue as a Main Traffieway Connec- tion." Moved by Spangler, seconded by Tucker ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vo-e was had; Ayes: Exlin Banker, Spangler and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Bull absent. Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6602. Ordinance first • reading: February 6, 1962. The following letters received from City Planning Commission: Recommending that Petition Number 2563 filed by Ralph E. Brown for the rezon- ing of the West 60 feet of Block 10; all of L is 7,8, 9 and East 25 feet of Lot 6, Block 6, to District "C" and f orthe rezoning o? the West 60 feet of Lot 6, and the East 40 feet of Lot 5, all in Block 6, to District "B", all in the Replant of Blocks 4,5 and 6 of the Replat of Lots 1 through 15 inclusive of Garden Homes Addition, be granted. Moved by Spangler, seconded by Tucker accept and City Clerk give notice. Carried. Recommending that Petition Number 2558 filed by Larry Gutsch for the rezoning of the East 60 feet of Lot 4, Neeley's Addition; and the North 100 feet of Lot 3, and t North 100 feet of West 43 feet of Lot 4, Neeley's Addition; and the West 90 feet of part of Lot 7, Surveyor's Plat "C". all in the City of Salina, Kansas from District "C" to District "D" be granted. Becker for the rezon - ing of Lots 25 and 27 on South Santa Fe Avenue, Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan UniversitIr from District "B" to District "E". Moved by Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Banker accept and City Clerk give notice. Carried. Hearing on Resolution Number 2586 and Notice of Hearing on balance of Key Acres. (Engineer Job 42.0). • No protests, written or oral. Moved by Spangler, seconded by Tucker improvements accepted and approved as published. Oarried. City Manager reported on the following petitions: 2564 Curb sidewalk on Lots 12,13,14,15 and 26 on Hancock Street, Block 4, Southern Heights Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas. Held over one week. Refer to City Attorney. 2561 Paving of alley 175 feet sorest of Santa Fe Avenue between Minneapolis and Ellsworth. 83% Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker approve for Resolution. Carried. 2560 Paving Manchester from Edgedale to McAdams; Edgedale from Ohio to west line of Moundview. Sewers nto serve Blocks 2, 6 and 51, Faith Addition. Sidewalks at intersections. 100`% Motion by T ucker seconded by Spangler approve for improvements. Carried. s Concrete Construction Bond for Albers Construction Company. Motion by Tucker, seconded by Spangler approve. Carried. Motion by Spangler seconded by Tucker that the City Attorney prepare neces- sary ordinance for salary of City Commissioners at $100.00 per month; the Mayor to receive $125.00 per month. • I City Manager asked permission to go ahead on plans for additional Water Filter Beds; Storage Tank and Main Lines in Key Acres. j Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker approved.
