Meeting was called to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson 376sponded. Letter from City Ptanning Commission recommending that the following lots in the Grounds of Kansas Wesleksn University Addition be rezoned to "B": Lots 21, 23, 25 on Republic; Lots 21 through 26 on Beloit. Lots 21 through 26 on Minneapolis; Lots 15 through 26 on Ellsworth. Lots 15 through 26 on Jewell; Lots 21 through 26 on Kirwi.n. and the following lots be rezoned to "C": Lots 1,3,5,8,10,12,11x,16,18 20 on Kirwin; Lots 2,4,61 22321,26,28 & 30 on Cla lin. • Motion by Tucker, seconded by Exline accept above recommendations and City Clerk publish notice. Carried. Letter from City Planning Commission recommending that Petition Number 2554 filed by Wm. M. Reimold forthe rezoning of Lots 5,7,9 and 11, Block 46, E. M I. Addition from Zone 'B" to Zone "D" be granted. Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler accept and City Clerk publish Notice. Carried. Letter from City Planning Commission recommending that Petition Number 2551 filed by C. J Morgenson forthe rezoning of the East 222 feet of the unplatted land in Block 2'ofSouthern View Addition to Salina, Kansas, from "A" to "D" be denied. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline accept and Petition denied. Carried. Resolution for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relaating to the curb- ing, gutteringri. paving and grading of Greeley Avenue with concrete, Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, from the west side of Ohio Street to the east bank of the Smol.�y Hill River." Motion by Tucker, seconded by Exline resolution adopted as read by the follow- ing vote; Ayes: Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2587. Resolution introduced and passed e-ititled: "A Resolution authorizing and di- recting the City Treasurer to deposit with the Clerk of the District Court * the sum of SeventeenThousand and Six -Hundred Sixty -Three and 92/100 Dollars ($17,663.92) in payment of damages assessed by the Commissioners in Case No. 23,505 now on file • inthe District Court of Saline County, Kansas." Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as read by the fol- lowing vote; Ayes: Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays:. (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2588. Ordinance introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance Number 6515 of the City of Salina, Kansas, passed June 27, 1961, relating to 'the rates to be charged for the use of and services rendered by the Water and Sewage System of the City of Salina, Kansas, and related matters, and repealing said original Section 3 of said Ordinance No. 6545 of said City." Carried. Letter and Application from State Highway Commission of Kansas, for access pro- visions for D.A. Norris and John Pierce to a proposed service station on U.S. 81 (Broadway Street) near its intersection with Hageman Avenue. Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler approve. Carried. Letter from Curry S. Hopper requesting refund on his City Liquor License. No approval or change in ordinance as this time. The following Engineer's Estimate filed by Wilson & Company, Engineers: No. 9 (Semi -Final) G.D. Byler Construction Company Interior Drainage Ditch No. 1 $8,855.58 Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker approve. Carried. Petition for street light at Ohio and York. Motion by Exlire, seconded by Tucker refer to City Manager. Petition for rezoning West 60 feet of Block 10 and East 50 feet of Lot 9, Block 6, from "B" to "C"; West 10 feet of Lots 9,8,7 and the East 25 feet of Lot 6, all in Block 6, from "A" to "C"; the West 60 feet of Lot 6, and the East 40 feet of Lot 5, all in Block 6, (All in Replat of Blocks 4, 5, and 6, of Replat of Lots 1-15 inclusive, Garden Home Addition., City of Salina, Kansas.
