Regular Meet ing of the Board of Commissioners January 23, 1962. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker, Ex -
line, Spangler, Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 16th, 1962 were read and approved
as read.
Letter received from City Planning Commission approving Petition Number 2556 to
include within the City Limits East 1/2 of Block 3 and all of Block 4, Riker -Manor
Addition.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline approve for ordinance. Carried.
Letter from City Planning Commission approving Petition Number 2557 vacat-
ing of Crestwood Road between Greeley Avenue and Northwood Lane in Riker -Manor Addition
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline approve. Carried.
• Letter from City P1anni.ng Commission recommending changes in some street names.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker approve changing of street names on
the following streets:
Changle Leslie Avenue between the Union Pacific Railroad and Fourth Street to
Raymond Avenue.
Change Cottonwood Avenue to Neal Avenue.
Maple Avenue - Maple -Streets; change Maple Street to Hickory Street.
Stratford Lane - Stratford Drive; change Stratford Lane to Ford Lane.
Pentwood Drive - Brentwood Drive; Change Brentwood Drive to Aurora Avenue.
Fawn Street - Dawn Street; change Dawn S,reet to Sumner Lane.
Motion carried. Referred to City Attorney to draw up ordinance.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker, resolution introduced for first read-
ing relating to curbing, guttering and paving Greeley Avenue from Ohio Street to
east bank of Smoky Hill River.

Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker ordinance introduced for first reading
amending Section 3 of Ordinance Number 6545, relating to Sewer Fees.

Robert Ort from Sears Roebuck and Company and representatives from Weeks
Grocery and others, appeared regarding median strip on South Santa Fe Avenue.
Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler authorize Police Department to install
signs at Sears Roebuck and Company and Weeks Grocery. Carried.
No left turns coming out of lots on to Santa FeAvenue.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker, authorize Robert Ort of Sears Roe-
buck and Company tohave an Independent Traffic Survey made at their expense of the
100 and 500 Blocks on Southsanta Fe Avenue. Carried.
An ordinance introduced and passed entitled: "An o dinance making an appropri-
ation for the payment ofcertain claims."
Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler ordinance was r ead and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Bull, Banker, Ex1ine, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1105.
Motion by Commissioner Spangler, Board of Commissioners adjourned.
