DECEMBER 19, 1961
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 19, 1961. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Brill, Banker,
Exline, Spangler and Tuckef and City Attorney Bengtson re sponded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 12th, 1961 werexead and approved
as read.
No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of Lot 17, Block 1, College View
Addition, Salina, Kansas from District "A" to District "B" ; and for tie rezonin of Lot
30, Russell Avenue, Addition to Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University from District
"A" to District "B".
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker Zoning Ordinance introduced for first
reading.

• Ordinance introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance defining the
duties of the Deputy Clerk of the City Court and providing for Bond and Oath."
Motion by Spangler seconded by Banker ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Bull, 'Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered 6587.
Ordinance introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance fixing the
salaries of officers of the City Court of the City of Salina, Kansas, amending 2-908 of t
Code of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1960 and repealing said Original Section."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exlire ordinance wasxead and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Bull, B anker, Exling,Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered 6588.
Letter from City Planning Commission approving Petition Number 2511 filed by
Gerald F.Simpson for rezoning of Lots o, 8, 10 and 12 Block 6, Sunnyside Addition from
Zone "A" to Zone "C".
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline approve and City Clerk publish Notice.
Carried.
Letter from City P anning Commission approvidng Petition Number 2549 filed by
Salina Building Company for the rezoning of Lot 10, Block 5, Holiday Addition, Salina,
Kansas fromZone "A" to Zone "D".
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exline approve and City Clerk publish Notice.
Carried.
Letter received from City Planning Commission recommending changes in Salina
Zoning Ordinance.
Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler accept. Carried.
Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution providing for Public
Hearings to be held by Salina City Planning Commission relative to proposed changes
in the Zoning Ordinance, and providing for giving Notice thereof."
Motion by Exline., seconded by Spangler resolution adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Bull,
B anker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution
and it is Numbered 2580.
Petition for rezoning of East 222 feet of unplatted land in Block 2, Southern
View Addition to Zone "D".

at four o'clock P. M. Carried.
