COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING

NOVEMBER 282 1961
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 28, 1961- Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker,
Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Commissioner Exline absent.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 21, 1961 were read and approved
as: r ead.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing for the amending of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein
and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City
and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Bull, Banker, Spangler and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6584.
Final Estimate with Change Order Number 1, in the amount of #4,941.00 to Busboom
and Rauh , for new Maintenance Building and Greenhouse in Oakdale Park, Salina, Kansas.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker table for one week. Carried.
Motion by Tucker, seconded by Spangler, ordinance introduced for first reading
entitled: "An ordinance prohibiting the connection with or the discharge into the Sanita:
Sewers of the City of Salina, Kansas, of arW ground, surface water, subsurface drainage
or any roof, yard, court or areaway water."

Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution authorizing and provid-
ing for the issuance of T emporary Notes of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of
$75,429.15 to pay a portion of the cost of improving certain streets in the City of
Salina, designated as Series PT -57 pending the issuance of bonds to pay the cost of said
work."
Motion by Spangler., seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as read by the following
vote: Ayes: Bull, Banker•,Spangler and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner E,)]line
absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2574•
Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution authorizing and provid-
ing for the issuance of temporary notes of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of
$133,396.45 to pay a portion of the cost of improlvi.ng certain streets in the City of
Salina, to be designated as Series PT -58 pending the issuance of bonds to pay the cost
of said work."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as read by the follow-
ing vote: Ayes: Bull, Banker% Spangler and Tucker- (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner
Exline absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2575•
Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to payment
of claims for construction and development of the Flood Control System and for the
payment of damages for injury to property and the costs of Right -of -Way and construction
contracts."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as read by the followin
vote: Ayes: Bull, Banker, Spangler and Tucker (4) Nays:: (0) Commissioner Exline
absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2576.
On motion of Spangler, Board of Commissioners adjourned.
