Meeting was called to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responsed. The minutes of the Regular Meeting and Zoning Board Meeting of November 14th 1961 were read and approved as read. No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of Block 5, of the Replat of Blocks 14, 5, and 6, of the Replat of Lots 1 to 15 inclusive, Garden Home Addition, to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas from Zone "A" to Zone "C". Moved by Spangler, seconded by Banker, Zoning Ordinance introduced for first reading./� Ordinance passed: LL �z , ,,,� -74 0 ( � b / Number No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of Lot 1 and East 25 feet of Lot 2, Block 1, Nordboe Addition to!the City of Salina, Saline County,Kansas to"Special Class"for location of Trailer Court. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to aut orization of use of certain lots as,a Trailer Court within the City, under Section 13, ordinance Number 5519." Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted asxead by the fol- lowing vote: Ayes: Bull, Banker, Exl.ine, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2573• An ordinance waa introduced for secondxeading entitled: "An ordinance condemn- ing certain land and easements therein for the purpose of constructing, extending, installing and maintaining certain sanitary trunk lines from the south boundary of the Salina Sewage Treatment Plant located in the Northwest Quarter (NUS) of Section Eight (8), Township Fourteen (111) South, Mange Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas; thence in a southerly direction to Crawford Street; thence westerly to a point on Crawford Street approximately One Thousand Three Hundred Twenty (1,320 ) feet east of South Ohio Avenue; thence southerly to Magnolia Road, and for the purpose of condemning certain property for the construction, extension and mainte- nance of an addition to the Sewage Treatment Plant located in the Northwest Quarter (NUS) of Section Eight (8), Township Fourteen (14) South,Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian inSaline County, Kansas, and fixing the benefit district therefore." Motion by Tucker, seconded by Exline ordinance was read and adopted by sections i and on its final adoption the roll was called and the F61lowing vote was had; Ayes: Bull, B anker, ExUre , Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6583• • i Resolution introduced for second mading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Third Street with concrete, Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, from the north line of Lamar Street to the south line of Wilson Street." Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as read by the following vote; Ayes: Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor ap- proved the resolution and it is Numbered 2570. Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution deeming it necessary and ordering the construction of a sidewalk on the south side of Cloud Street from the west line of Ninth Street to a point 569 feet, more or less, west thereof to the east line of Hageman School Grounds." Motion of Tucker; seconded by Spangler resolution adopted asxead by the follow- ing vote: Ayes: Bull, B anker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 2571. Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution authorizing settlement of claim and damages in Flood Protection Project." Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as read by the following vote; Ayes: Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker, (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2572. Mayor appointed Raymond E.Haggart to City Planning and Zoning Commission in place of Larry 0. Bengtson who resigned. • Motion by Exlire , seconded by Tucker appointment approved to May 1, 19611.
