Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 14, 1961. Meeting
wascalled to order by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker,
Exline, Spangler and Ticker and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
The minutes of the Zoning Board Meeting and Regular Meeting of November 7th, 1961
were read and approved as read.
Motion by Exline, seconded by Spangler resolution introduced for first reading
for curbing, guttering, paving and grading Third Street from Lamar to Wilson.

Ordinance introduced for secondzeading entitled: "An ordinance providing for
the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein and
thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and
prescribing the proper uses thereof."
Motion by T ucker seconded by Banker ordinance was read and adopted by sections •
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi-
nance and it is Numbered 6582.
Petition filed against the rezoning of Lots 15,16,17,18 Block 4 and Lots 5,6,7,8
Block 7, Rolling Hills Addition to anything other than "A" Residential.
Motion by Tucker, seconded by Banker refer to City Planning Commission. Carried.
Application from Boyd Hatfield, d/b/a "The Office" 11.09 West Crawford Avenue,
Salina, Kansas.
Motion by Exlinq seconded by Banker approve.. Carried.
Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing and pro-
viding for the issuance of Renewal Temporary Notes of the City of Salina, Kansas;, in
the sum of $1,307,000 for the purpose of renewing certain temporary notes heretofore
issued for the purpose of paying part of the costs of improvements authorized in
connection with the Salina Off -Street Parking Facilities in said City."
Motion by Spangler seconded by Banker resolution was adopted as read by the
following vote; byes: Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0)
Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2564.
Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution auV orizing and pro-
viding for the issuance of Renewal Temporary Notes of the City of Salina.. Kansas, in
the sum of $155,562.28, for the purpose of renewing certain temporary notes heretofore
issued for the purpose of constructing certain street, sewer and sidewalk improvements
in said City."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Exl.ine, resolution adopted as read by the
following vote; Ayes: Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) •
Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2565.
Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing and pro-
viding for the issuance of Renewal Temporary Notes of the City of Salina, Kansas, in
the sum of $278,881.02 for the purpose of renewing certain temporary notes heretofore
issued for the purpose of constructing certain street, sewer and sidewalk improvements
in said City."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as rea by the follow-
ing vote; Ayes: Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2566.
Resolution �ptroduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing and pro-
viding for the issuance of Renewal Temporary Notes of the City of Salina, Kansas, in
the sum of $396,729.30 , for the purpose of renewing certain temporary notes heretofore
issued for the purpose of constructing certain street improvements in said City."
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as read by the follow-
ing vote; Ayes: Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2567.
Resolution introduced and read providing for the issuance of Off -Street Parking
Temporary Notes in the sum of $10,000.00.

approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2568.

Motion by Spangler, seconded by Banker ordinance introduced for first reading
for condemning and acquiring certain land and easements for Sewage Treatment Plant
in the City of Salina, Kansas. l

An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appro-
priation for the payment of certain claims."
Motion by Exline, seconded by Tucker ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler and Tucker (5) Nays« (0) Mayor approved the ordi-
nance and it is Numbered A-1091.
On motion of Exline Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals November 14, 1961. Meeting was called to order
by Mayor Bull, the roll was called and Commissioners Bull, Banker, Exline, Spangler
and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
Hearing was held on Zoning Appeals Notice filed by Asbury Hospital for Non-Complianc
with Front Yard Requirements for the North 80 feet of Lot 2, South Seventh Street,
Holland's Addition to Salina, Kansas.
No protests.
Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to the authori-
zation of non-compliance with the Front Yard Requirements of Ordinance Number 5519,
for the North 80 feet of Lot 2, on South Seventh Streets, Holland's Addition in the
City of Salina, Saline (bunty, Kansas."
Motion by Exlize, seconded by Tucker resolution adopted as read by the following
vote; Ayes: Bull, B anker, Exline, Spangler -and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2569.
