Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Fxli.ne, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Banker, Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Bull absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 5th, 1961 and Zoning Board Meeting of September 5th, 1961 were read and approved as read. Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids ire received for improving certain streets inGypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, Kansas (Job 117) as follows: L. W. Rexroad &Son $24,944.00 Purtzer and Dutton $ 26,580.00 Engineer's Estimate. $25,300.00 • Motion by Tucker seconded by Spangler contract awarded to L. W. Rexroad and Son, as per bid submitted in the sum of $24,944.00 and return check to unsuccessful bidder. Carried. Thirty -day Notice up on rezoning in Blocks four and seven, Rolling Hills Addi- tion for Community Unit Plan. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker hearing extended to October 17th, 1961 at four o'clock P. M. Carried. Letter received from City Planning Commission recommending that Petition Num- ber 2522 filed by LeonAshton, for placing a one -family trailer on Lot 10, Block 4, of Southern Heights Addition be denied. Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker accept and petition denied. Carried. Ordinance introduced for secondzeading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract with the Brown and Brown Construction Company for the constructionn of certain improvements on aertain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
