Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 22.9 1961. Meeting was called
to order by Acting Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Banker,
Spangler and Tucker and City Attorney Baita;,,` .Cot=i.ssioner Bull absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 15th, 1961 and Zoning Board Meeting
of August 15t , 1961 were read and approved.
Bids received on Trailer fortransporting Heavy Equipment as follows:
Berry Tractor & Equipment Company, Inc. $23660.00
(Hydraulic Rams $157.50 extra)
Foley Tractor Company $3,650.00
Motion bySpangler, seconded by Tucker, hold over fortwo weeks so specifications
can be checked. Carried. •
Petitionibr ordinance to provide for curb -type sidewalk on the South side of
Stapler from Wisconsin to Michigan, extended south.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker
Petitionibr curb -type sidewalk on the West side of Lewis from Minneapolis to
Ellsworth.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker refer to City Manager.
Petition for rezoning to "D" Local Business, the North 72 feet of the East 100
feet of Lot 9, Surveyor's Plat "A", an addition to the City of Salina, Kansas.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker refer to City Planning Commission.
Petitionfor Trailer House on Lot 10, Block 4, Southern Heights Addition.
Motion by Spangler, seconded by Tucker refer to City Planning Commission.
Petition for rezoning Lots 1-8 inclusive Block 22, Belmont Addition from "A"
to "B"; Lots 1-3 inclusive, Block 23 to "D"; Lots 9-13 inclusive Block 22 to "C";
Lot 5, Block 7 to "D"; Lots 1-4 inclusive Block 7 to "B", all in Belmont Addition.

An ordinance was introduced and passed
entitled:

Motion by Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Tucker ordinance w as r ead and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the rollta,s called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: Exline, Banker, Spangler and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner
Bull absent. Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1083.
On motion of Commissioner Spangler Board of Commissioners adjourned.

City Engineer filed final estimate for Job 400 - E. half Shalimar Plaza Add.
On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the estimate was
approved. Carried. •
