Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler and Acting City Attorney Bengtson responded. City At- torney Barta absent. Minutes of Regular Meeting of March 21, 1961 and Zoning Board Meeting of March 21, 1961 werexead and approved as read. Bids on Police Cars. Commissioner Bull moved to refer to Chief of Police,Salmans, to check bids and report at next meeting. City Manager reported on the following petitions: No. 2297 Curb, Gutter and Pave Hillcrest Lane from ChannelRoad to Hillcrest Lane (should wait on Channel Road) Commissioner Exline moved to approve. Carried. No. 2447 Curb, Gutter and Pave Channel Road from Iron Avenue to north edge of Upper Mill Drive. (Needs dedication for street) Commissioner Exline moved to approve. Carried. L" No. 2454 Sanitary Sewer to serve Banker's Addition. 100% Commissioner Bull moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading. Commissioner ExIine made motion that the City Commissioners favor an Advisory Board forthe Industrial Fund Levy, if it carries. Commissioner Jaeger made motion authorizing Mayor to sign Fire Agreement with Schilling Air Force Base. Traffic condition at Cloud and Highland. Referred to Traffic Department to make report. City Engineer filed Final Estimate in the amount of $9,826.17 to McCollum Construction Company for Sanitary Sewers provided for in Job 406. Approved by Commissioner Jaeger. Carried. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissiomrs Ramsey, Bull, ExUne, Jaeger and Spangler and Acting City Attorney Bengtson responded. City Attorney Barta absent. Hearing was held on waiver of front yard requirement for Mr.R 1ph Swearingen, 654 Sylvan Place, Salina., Kansas. Commissioner Bull moved to leave as it now stands until he can get letters from neighbors. Hearing was held on Rear Yard Waiver for Lot 25,Block 1, Hazelwood Addition, for Mr. R. L. Rockhold. Approved by Commissioner Jaeger. A Resolution was introduced and passed "Relating to Rear Yard Waiver for Lot 25, Block 1, Hazelwood Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followirg vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nayst (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2483.
