Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 7, 1961. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissiom rs Ramsey, Bull,
Exline, Jaeger and Spangler and City Attorney Barta responded.
I The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 28, 1961 read and approved

Bids recei tied on Off -Street Parking Project, Contract Number 101. Bids opened
by the City Clerk. Read aloud by Engineer.
Commissioner Spangler made motion to refer all bids received to Engineer to check
and report March ]lith, 1961.
Following letters received from City Planning and Zoning Commission:
1. Recommending that Petition Number 2436 filed by George Etherington for the
inclusion of balance of Belmont Addition now outside the City limits, be granted.
• Commission Exline moved to accept and approve. Carried.
2. Recommending that Petition Number 2442 filed b H. D. Hale and James Sanders
for th_ inclusion of a tract of land near Country Club Addition be granted.

3. Recommending that Petition Number 2445 filed by Larry Gutsch for the re-
zoning of Lots 36, 38 and 40 on Eighth Street in Original Town of Salina, Kansas to
Class "F" be granted.
Commissioner Bull moved to accept and City Clerk publish Notice. Carried.
4. Recommendin; that Petition Number 2446 filed by Ralph Mitchell and Mrs.
Emma Beard, for trailer court on Lot 8, Surveyor's Plat 31 in the City of Salina, Kan-
sas be granted.

Commissioner Bull moved to accept and City Clerk publish Notice. Carried.
5. Recommending that Petition Ahmber 2451 filed by R. L.Rockhold for Trailer
Court on Lot 7, Replat of Block 32, Military Addition be granted.
Commissioner Jaeger moved to accept and City Clerk publish Notice. Carried.
6. Recommending that Petition Number 2452 filed by R. L. Rockhold for the
vacating of North Thirteenth Street from South line of Lot 7, Replat of Block 32,
Military Addition, north to Dry Creek, be denied.

Commissioner Jaeger moved to accept and petition denied. Carried.
7. Recommneding that Petition Number 2450 filed by W.R. Napier for the re-
zoning of South 45 feet of Lot 26, and all o Lot 28, Block 6, Bond's Addition, Salina,
Kansas, from Zone "B" to Zone "C" be granted.
Commissioner Bull moved to accept and City Clerk publish Notice. Carried,
8. Recommending that Petition Number 2449, filed b H. W. Steele, for the open-
ing of Duvall Avenue in Banker Addition, Salina, Kansas, be granted.
Commissioner Exline moved to accept and approve. Carried.

Commissioner Exline moved to approve and authorize City Manager to sign con-
tract. Carried.

Commissioner Spangler moved that petitionbe tabled.
Petition For paving Wayne Avenue from Ohio to Huntington Road,. Mayfair Addition.
Commissioner Spangler moved that petition be tabled.
Petition For installation of sanitary sewer to serve all of Lots in Blocks 1 and 2,
Lots 1 - 6 Block 3; Lots 1-4 Block 4, and Lots 1, 15,16 Block 5, Lots 13,14,15,16
in Block 3a Mayfair Addition.
Commissioner Spangler moved that petition be tabled.
Commissioner Bull moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading, "levy-
ing special assessments for curbing, guttering/and paving streets in Wilbre Addition."

Commissioner Exline moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading, "levy-
ing special assessments for curbing,guttering and paving streets in Ingermanson Heights
Second Addition".

Commissioner Bull moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading "levy-
ing special assessments for the construction of Main Sanitary Sewer ttAL"and Pump
Station; and Lateral Sanitary Sewers 407, 408, 409, 410 and 411."

Letter received from City Pl1anning and Zoning Commission relating to Petition
Number 2440 filed by M.C.Tallman forthe rezoning of Lots 1, 2, 3 Block 3, Phillip's
East Salina Addition, to the City of Salina, Kansas, from Zone "Btt to Zone I'D".
No action taken on above letter.
A resolution was introduced and passed "relating to crossing over and across
Dry Creek on West Euclid Street."
On motion of Commissioner Spangler the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the followi.n vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution
and it is Numbered 2477.
A resolution was introduced and passed "relating to Fenees and Gates for Flood
Control Dikes."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adoptedasxead and on its
final adoption the roll was called ad the f ollowin vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull,
Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it
is Numbered 2478.
An ordinance was i.ntroduoed and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an ap-
propriation for the payment ofeertain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Spangler the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1058.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an ap-
propriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinancewas read and adoptee by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vo -e was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Ex'Line, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor app oved the ordinance
and it is Numbered A-1059.

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals, March 7, 1961. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Exline,
Jaeger and Spangler and City Attorney Barta responded.
