Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Ex1ine, Jaeger and Spangler and City Attorney Barta responded. The minutes of the Regular P,?eeting of FeI^muary 14th, 1961 were read and approved as read. Pursuant to Notice published inthe Salina Journal bids were received for plumb- ing work and fixtures on stated restrooms located inthe City Parks, City of Salina, Kansas, as follows: City Plumbing Company $2732.56 Midwest Plumbing and Heating Company $2997.00 Herron Plumbing Company $2992.00 Fink's Plumbing & Heating Company, Inc. $2789.33 Commissioner Bull moved to award contract to City Plumbing Company as low bidder for $2732.56. Carried. • Commissioner Jaeger moved that ordinance be introduced for first reacting calling a Special Election for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said City the proposition to levy annually upon all the tangible property within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, an Industrial Levy Tax. Ordinance passed: --�'— � - Number^' �) City Manager reported on Petition Number 2448 filed b;, George C.Etherington to reduce the easement between Lots 23 and 24 Block 5, Belmont Addition from twenty (20) feet to fourteen (14) feet. (Vacate three feet on each side) Commissioner Bull moved to vacate three (3) feet on each side of easement and refer to City Attorney to approve legal papers. Carried. Commissioner Bull moved that the following resolutions be introduced for first reading: Paving Republic Avenue from Funston Avenue to East line of Missouri Pacific Railroad. Resolution passed: �- i Number `C 6 Paving Pershing Street from Beloit Avenue to Sunset Drive. Resolution passed: Z- �� Number Paving P.rshing Street from Sunset Drive to Ellsworth Street. Resolution passed: Z — in Number L Paving Funston Avenue from Ellswort`h� Street to Jewell Avenue. Resolution passed: _ �J `—_ Number Curbing, Guttering ( one side) and paving Beverly Drive from Whittinghill Avenue to Viemont Avenue. Resolution passed: Number Curbing, Guttering and Paving East side of Fourth Street from Wilson Street to Lamar Street. Resolution passed: Number Paving Fourth Street on the East side of tracks from Lamar Street to Republic Avenue. Commissioner Ekline moved to accept and approve. Carried. No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of Lot 15, except the North 28 feet thereof, and all of Lots 17 and 19, Block 6, Hutchinson's Addition from Zone "A" to Zone "B". Carried. Commissioner Jaeger moved that Zonirg Ordinance be introduced for first reading. Ordinance passed Number Z, Resolution introduced and passed authorizing the release to a certain agreement. On motion of Commissioner Spangler the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Eklire, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2464. On motion of Commissioner Spangler the ordinance was lead and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor apIroved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1057.
