Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Exlinq, Jaeger and Spangler and City Attorney Barta responded. read. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 31, 1961 read and approved as Bids received for One (1) 1/2 Ton Truck as follows: Jim Sullivan Chevrolet $2003.75 Less Trade -In 610.00 Difference $1393.7 Lawrence Warta Motor Company $1929.85 Less Trade -In _ 439.85 _ Difference 1490.00 Commissioner Jaeger, award to Jim Sullivan Chevrolet $1393.75 difference. Carried. No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of Lots 1, 8 and 9. Block 1, in Key Acres Addition in the City of Salina, Kansas from Zone "A" to Zone "D". On motion of Commissioner Jaeger Zoning Ordinance introduced for first reading. Ordinance passed: Number The following resolutions were introduced for second reading: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Barney Street with concrete, Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to'babk of curb, from the north line of Broadway Boulevard to the south line of Grand Avenue." On motion of Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exli.ne, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Num ered 2455. "A Resolution relating to the curbing guttering, paving and grading of South Second Street with concrete, Thirty-three (335 feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, from a point 23 feet North of the south line of Lot 15, Block 7, Hutchinson's Addition to the south line of Lot 19 of s aid block." On motion of Commissioner Spangler the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; byes: Ramsey, Bull, Exlin, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2456. "A Resolution relating to the resurfacing of Ohio Street with hot mixed asphaltic concrete from the North line of Ash Street to the North line of Iron Avenue." On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2457. "A Resolution relating to the resurfacin_, of Walnut Street with hot mixed asphaltic concrete from the East line of Fifth Street, west to the Missouri Pacific Railroad Righh-of-Way." On motion of Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2459. "A Resolution relating to the resurfacing of Fifth Street with hot mixed • asphaltic concrete from the South line of Walnut Street to the North line of Elm Street." On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays:: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Num ered 2460. "A Resolution relating tot he resurfacing of Seventh Street with hot' ,mitd!d concrete from the South line of Ash Street to the North line of Elm Street." On motion of Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, ExlizW,Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2461. "A Resolution relating to the resurfacing of Seventh Street with hot mixed asphaltic concrete from the south line of Walnut Street to the South line of Iron Avenue.' On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vo;.e was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2462. "A Resolution determining necessity of and directing that the owner or owners of certain lots construct, in compliance with plans and specifications of the City Engineer a sidewalk abutting said lots within thirty days of the adoption and publication hereof and providing that in the event the owner or owners fail to do so, that the City of Salina shall proceed to construct or cause tole con tructed said sidewalk and the total cost thereof shall be assessed against such lot or lots on which such side- walk shall abut as other special assessments." On motion of Commissioner Spangler the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; .Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved thezesolution and it is Numbered 2463. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creat- ing and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 437 and providing for the con- struction of a Lateral Sanitary Sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 437 so created and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Fxline, Jaeger and Spangler (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6503. A petition was presented for concrete paving on Channel Road from Iron Avenue south to Greeley and on Greeley east to Upper Mill Heights. On motion of Commissioner Exline referred to City Manager. Applicati:n for Cereal Malt Beverage was received from George Ringle d/b/a "Yankee Clipper" 136 North Santa Fe Avenue, Salina, Kansas. Application approved by Commissioner Jaeger. Application received from Keith Graybeal to transfer Beer License Number 4749 from 226 South Santa Fe Avenue ("The Den") to 249 North Santa Fe Avenue("The Rendezvous". Trsfer approved by Commissioner Bull. Plumber and Gas Fitter Bond received from Buckley, Inc., Wichita, Kansas. Approved by Commissioner Spangler. Following Engineer's Estimates filed: No. 2.
