Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 27, 1960. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull,
Exline and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 20th, 1960 and Zoning Board
Meeting of Decem er 20th, 1960 were read and approved as read.
The following letters received from City Planning and Zoning C mni.ssion:
Recommending that Petition Number 2421 filed by Wk. 0. Walker for the rezoning
of Lots 1,2,3,8,9,10 in Plat 1, Lamer's First Sub -Division, City of Salina, Kansas, from
Zone "A" to Zone "C" be denied.
Commissioner Bull moved to refer to City Attorney for one week.
Recommending thaii Petition Number 2426 filed by M.C. Tallman for the rezoning
of Lots 1, 2, 3, Block 3, Phillip's East Salina, Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, •
from Zone "B" to Zone "D" be denied.
Commissioner Exline moved to accept recommendation of City Planning Commission
and petition denied. Carried.
Letter received from H.R. Salmans, Chief of Police, on Petition Number 2431 for
two-hour parking zone in the 300 Block on North Santa Fe Avenue for the balance of the
block not now covered by meters.
Commissioner Exline moved to approve. Carried.
A resolution was AwAwastomd mW passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to
the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Fourth Street with concrete, on both
sides of Union Pacific Tracks, each 30 feet wide from back of curb to edge of slab,
from the south line of Claflin Avenue to the north side of Cloud Street."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor ap-
proved the resolution and it is Numbered 2447•
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creating
and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas,
designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 436, and providing for the construc-
tion of a Lateral Sanitary Sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District 436 so created
and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assess-
ments against the property in said district for the payment of the cost of such constructi
and for the issuin,,r of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by section •
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6500.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549
and the Zonirg District Map
therein and thereby adopted and providing fort he rezoning
of certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On moti:)n of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6501.

On motion of Commissioner ExLine referred to City Manager.
Petition to change from 1 -hour to It -hour parking restriction in the 200 Block
on North Seventh Street.
On motion cf Commissioner Bull referred to City Manager.
