Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 13th, 1960. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Cmmdssion. rs Ramsey,
Exline and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioners Bull and McCune
absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meetirg of December 6th, 1960 wereread and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for secondreading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying
and confirming a contract with Banker Construction Compapy for the construction of
Lateral Sanitary Sewers 426,427 and 428, and providing for the issuance of temporary
notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Ramsey, Exline and Jaeger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Bull and McCune
absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6495. •
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance describ-
ing the place of installation of certain sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Fidine and Jaeger (3) Nays: (0) Commission rs Bull and McCune absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6496.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of said City,
including land described in Ordinance Numbers 6475 and 6479, and repealing Section 3
of Ordinance Number 6102."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Exline and Jaeger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners McCune and Bull absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6497.
An ordinance was introduced for secondreading entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing for the condemnation of certain necessary property or interests in property for
the use of the City of Salina, Kansas, in making improvements for Off -Street Parking
facilities for said City of Salina, Kansas, as provided in Resolutions Nos. 2264, 2289
and 2292."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Exline and Jaeger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Bull and McCune absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6498.

On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the following resolutions were introduced
for first reading:
A resolution relating to curbing, guttering and paving Francis Street from
York Avenue, south 127 feet.

Commissioner Jaeger moved to approve for Resolution.

munications Company for Antenna on Water Tower in Gypsum Hill Cemetery."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger resolution was adopted as read and on its final
adoption the roll was called and the followirg vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Exline and
Jaeger (3) Nays: (0) Commissiorrrs Bull and McCune absent. Mayor approved the reso-
lution and it is Numbered 2437•

City Engineer submitted Estimated Cost for the resurfacing with Hot Mix Asphalt
of the following streets during 1961:
Ohio Street from Ash Street to Iron Avenue
Walnut Street from Fifth Street west to Missouri Pacific Railroad
Ash Street from Seventh Street to Fifth Street
Fifth Street from Walnut Street to Elm Street
Seventh Street from Walnut Street to Iron Avenue

City Engineer submitted the following estimate:
Final Street Improvement Job 402 Brown and Brawn, Inc. $16,316.74
Approved by Commissioner Exline.
Petition presented for the rezonin of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 3,, Phillip's East
Salina Addition from.Zone "B" to Zone "D",.
Commissioner Jaeger moved to refer petition to City Planning Commission.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing a
contract with Brown and Brown, Inc., relating to spoil dirt."

adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Exline

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals December 13, 1960. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Exline and Jaeger
and.City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioners Bull and McCune absent.
Hearing was held on Appeal Notice to the Board of Zoning Appeals filed by
Mrs. Velma Austianfbr non-compliance with insufficient Lot Area Requirements for
Lots 16 and 18, Block 7, Woodland Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas.
No protests.
