Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 8, 1960. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Ramsey; the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull,
Exline and Jaeger a�4City>Attoraey Earta responded. Commissioner McCune absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meetiq of November 1, 1960 and Special Meeting of
November 1, 1960 werezead and approved as read.
Police Car Bids held over from November 12 1960, were again taken up by the Board
of Commissioners.
Commissioner Jaeger moved to award bid to Long -McArthur for $3,989.50.
A Resolution was introduced for secondzeading entitled: "A Resolution relating
to the curbing, guttering, paving and gradin of Seventh Street with concrete, Thirty-
three (33) feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb from the south property line
of Lincoln Avenue to the north Right -of -Way line of the Union Pacific Railroad."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its •
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull,
Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved the
resolution and it is Numbered 2434.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratify-
ing and confirming a contract with Salina Asphalt, Inc., for the construction of North
Ohio Street Levee Crossing as designated by Resolution Number 2430, and providingfbr the
issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6490.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creating
and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas,
designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 426, and providing for the construc-
tion of a Lateral Sanitary Sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 426 so
created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special
assessments against the property in said district for the payment of the cost of such
construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6491.
Letter received from City Planning and Zoning Commission recommending that •
Petition Number 2408 filed by KeyAcres, Inc., for the rezoning of Lot 10, Block 1,
Lots 12,13,14, 15 Block 9; Lots 11,12,13, Block 15; Lot 5, Block 19; all in Key Acres
Addition, City of Salina, Kansas to Zone "D" be approved.
Commissioner Bull moved to accept and City Clerk publish Notice.
Letter received from City Planning Commission and Police Department relating to
parking on Ohio Street and Belmont Boulevard where there is an existing median strip.
Commissioner Jaeger moved to accept and approve. Carried.

Approved by Commissioner Bull.

The following petitions were presented and on motion of Commissioner Jaeger
referred to City Planning Commission:
Replat of Blocks 20 and 21, Belmont Addition, Salina, Kansas.
Rezoning Lots 1,2,3,80;10 Plat 1, in Lamer's First Sub -Division to the City
of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. •

Plumber and Gas Fitter's Bond received from Raymond W. Fishburn, d/b/a Riverside
Plumb and Heating.
Approved by Commissioner Jaeger.
Gas Fitter's Bond received from Gambles-Skogmo, Inc.,.
Approved by Commissioner Bull.
City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Number 428.
Commissionez- Exline moved to approve and accept. Carried.
Building Application received from George Etherington for the erection of a
Utility Building on part of Lots 2 and 3, Block 2, VahTrine's Addition to the City of
Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger applicationreferred to the City; Attorney.,
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance wasread and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1011.
On motion of Commissioner Bull the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals November 8, 1960. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Exline and
Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune absent.
Building Application received from Fleming Motor Company for permission to
erect an Automobile Repair Garage at 1206 North Ninth Street.
Commissioner Exline moved to approve for Heari ng November 15, 1960.
On motion of Commissioner Exline Board of Zoning Appeals adjourned.
