NOVEMBER 13 1960
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 1, 1960. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull,
Exline and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 25th, 1960 were read and approved
as read.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were r eceived for three6
Police Cars as; follows:

Jim Sullivan Chevrolet Company $4,467.00
Commissioner Jaeger moved to refer to City Manager and Police Department to
check bids and report at next meeting. •
Bids received for the sale of South 122 feet of the West 64 feet of the North 1/2
of Lot 90, Santa Fe Avenue in the Original Town of Salina, Kansas (Arcade Property)
as f olloww.

Commissioner Bull moved toaward sale of the above described property to Darrell
M. Hills for $2,080.00, subject to final approval of City Attorney.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Hournal bids werexeceived for the
construction of North Ohio Street Levee Crossing as follows:
Salina Asphalt, Inc., $3,345.00
Wilmoth Construction Comopany,Inc. $3,672,00
Engineer's Estimate $33900.00
Commissioner Bull moved to award contract to Salina Asphalt, Inc., as per bid
submitted in the amount of $3045.60 and return check to unsuccessful bidder.
Contract Ordinance for construction of North Ohio Street Levee Crossing intro-
duced for first reading. L

An ordinance was introduced forsecond reading entitled: "An ordinance creating •
and defining a ce tain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas,
designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 128, and providing for the con-
struction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number
128, so created and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying
of special assessments against the property insaid district for the payment of the cost
of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read andadopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bill, Exl.ine and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) CommissionerMcCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6188.
An ordiname was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing
for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein
and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City
and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
0 nmotion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoptionthe roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6189.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution providing for
the construction of a bridge or crossing across the Smoky Hill River on Mulberry Street."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its •
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull,
Exli.ne and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved the
resolution and it is Numbered 2432.

A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution providing for
the construction of a bridge or crossing across the Smoky Hill River on Walnut Street."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull,
Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) CommissionerMCCune absent. Mayor approved the
resolution and it is Numbered 2433.
City Manager reported on the following petitions:
No. 2415 Curb, Gutter and pave Stack from Missouri to Indiana. 50%
Commissioner Bull moved to approve for resolution.
No. 241.6 Paving Stapler from Delaware to Indiana. 60%
Commissioner Bull moved to approve for resolution.
No. 241.3 Curb, Gutter and Pave East side of Fourth from Wilson to Bond. 54%
Commissioner Bull moved to approve for Resolution.
No. 2410 Curb, Gutter, Pave Francis Street 127 feet south of York. 50%
Commissioner Bull moved to approve for Resolution.
No. 2397 Sanitary sewer to serve the area south of Walnut Street and West
of Broadway Boulevard not now served by any sanitary sewer.
Commissioner Jaeger moved to approve for Ordinance.
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger resolution was introduced for first reading
relating to lhe curbing, gutter _ ng and pavin of Seventh Street fromLincoln Avenue
to North Right -of -Way line ofthe Union Paific Railroad."

Appraisers Report for curbirg , guttering and paving Bel Air Drive from Cloud
Avenue to Cloud Avenue was taken up by the Board of Commissiom rs.
