Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissiorn rs Ramsey, Bull and Exline and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioners Jaeger and McCune absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 13th, 1960 and Zoning Board Meeting of September 13th, 1960 were read and approved as read. Letter received from City Planning Commission recommending that Petition Num- ber 2388 filed by P1rs. Elsie Hinshaw for the rezoning of Lot 11, 129 West Minneapolis Avenue, in the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University Addition, from Zone "A" to Zone "B" be denied. Commissioner Exline moved to accept and petition denied. City Manager reported on the following petitions: • 2394 For sidewalks on west side of Merrill Street, from Illinois to k1ilson. 50% Commissioner Bull moved to approve for Resolution. 2407 Curb, Gutter and Pave East side of Fourth Street from Lincoln to North. 80% Commissioner Exline moved to approve for Resolution. 21405 Protesting any improvements of any kind on Albert Avenue, running East from Ohio No action taken. Ordered filed. 21403 Changing name of Pawnee to Rosewood. Commissioner Bull moved that petition be denied. 214014 Changing name of Kiwa to Pinecrest. Commissioner Bull moved that petition be denied. 21406 Curb,Gutter and Pave Seventh Street from Lincoln Avenue to north line of the Union Pacific Railroad Right -of -Way. 80 % Commissioner Exline moved to approve for Resolution. An ordinance was introduced for second r eading entitled: "A Resolution calling • a Special Election to be held in the City of Salina, Kansas, for the purpose of sub- mitting to the qualified electors of the said City the proposition to issue the General Obligation Bonds of said City in the amount of Seven Hundred Twenty -Seven Thousand Dollars ($727,000.00) for the purpose of paying the cost of purchasing a site for, and erectirg, constructing, furnishing and equipping apublic building thereonfor said City, to -wit: a Public Library." Commissioner Exline moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading en- titled: "An ordinance providing for licensing the operation of mobile homes and mobile home courts and repealing Section 25-1033 sub -section 5, Ordinance No. 6369." Surb, Gutter and Pave East side of Fourth Street from Wilson to Bond. Curb, Gutter and Pave Hillcrest Lane from Channel Road to the culdesac at the East end of Hillcrest Lane; and the sanitary sewer for the Mount harbara Addition, and for curbing, guttering and paving of Channel Road from East Iron Avenue to the South lire of Hillcrest Lane. Curbi% guttering, Paving, Water, Scorn Sewers and Sanitary Sewers in part of Key Acres Addition. For street lights at the following locations: Intersection of Dover Drive and T eakwood; Intersection of Westwood and Teakwood. Intersection of Beach and Winona.
