Commissioner McCune absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 6, 1960 and Zoning Board Meeting if September 6th, 1960 wereiead and approved as read. The following letters received from City Planning Commission: Recommending that Petition Number 2398 filed by Gilbert Cunninghan for the rezon- ing of East 10312 feet of the South 298.9 feet, less the t e South 90 feet of East 50 feet of Lot 7, Surveyor's Plat "C" be rezoned from "C" to "D; be granted. Commissioner Exline moved that Ordinance be introduced for first reading for calling a special election to be held in the City of Salina, Kansas, f or the pur- pose of submitting to.the qualified electors of Salina, Kansas, the proposition to issue general obligation bonds of said City in the amount; of $727,000.00 for the purpose of paying the cost of purchasing a site for and erecting, constructing, fur- nishing and equipping.a Public Library Building for the City of Salina, Kansas. Curbing, gutt0ring and paving Seventh Street from Lincoln Avenue to North property line of the Union Pacific Railroad Right -of -Way. Curbing, guttering and paving East' side of Fourth Street from Lincoln to North. Concrete Construction Bond received from Joe G.Rouse. Approved by Commissioner Jaeger. Concrete Construction Bond received from Clarence L. Bowler. Approved by Commissioner Bull. Combination Plumber and Gas Fitters Bond received from J. L. Perry d/b/a It PlAmbing Company". Approved -by Commissioner Exline. Commissioner Bull moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading providing for the construction of certain sidewalks. Plans for Park Building. Commissioner Exline moved to accept and receive bids May 15, 1961. Petition for vacation of easement in an area bounded by the extension of the East and West sides of Beach Street from Winona to Wi.11owdale Street, extended south through the same area. Cam aissioner Exline moved to approve. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appro- priation for the payment of ce-tain claims." Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune absent. Hearing was held on Notice of Appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals, for non- compliance with Rear Yard Requirements for East one-half of Lots 1 and 2, in Block 10, Riverside Park Addition to the City of Salim, Kansas. A resolution was introduced and read entitled: "A Resolution relating to the authorization of non-compliance with the Rear Yard Requirements of Ordinance Number 5549 for East one-half of Lots 1 and 2, in Block 10, Riverside Park Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas.
