Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners September 6th, 1960. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull,
Exline and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune absent*
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 30th, 1960 werezead and approved
as read.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for the
curbing, guttering and paving certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, as provided
for in Job 404 as follows:
0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company $3993579.50
Brown and Brown, Inc. 403,039.00
Engineer's Estimate 4305790.00
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger contract was awarded to 0. D. Wilmoth Con-
struction Company as per bid submitted in the sum of $099,579.50, and check returned
to unsuccessful bidder.
Contract Ordinance for Job 404 introduced for first reading..

Mayor appointed J. Earl Wyatt, Robert Frederick and N.C. Grant as appraisers
for curbing, guttering and paving certain streets in the City of Salina., Kansas, pro-
vided for in Job 404.
Approved by Commissioner Jaeger.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for the
construction of Refuse Building in the 400 Block on East Ash Street, Salina, Kansas,

On motion of Commissioner Jaeger contract was awarded to Construction Industries
Inc., as per bid submitted in the sum of $66,240.00, and checks returned to unsuccessful
bidders.
Contract Ordinance for Wuse Building introduced for first reading.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating
to the paving and grading of Kansas Avenue with concrete., Twenty-eight (28) feet wide
from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from the north line of Elm Street to the South line
of Riverside Boulevard."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull,
Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved the
resolution and it is Numbered 2411.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating
to the paving and grading of Indiana Avenue with concrete, Thirty-three (33) feet
wide from back of curb toback of curb, from the South line of Gypsum Avenue to the south
line of Stack Avenue . "
On motion of Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull,
Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered 2412.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing
for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein
and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City
and prescribing the proper uses thereof."

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals, September 6, 1960. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Exline and
