Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Fx]ine and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune absent. Minutes of the Regular Meetixigof August 9th, 1960 and Zoning Board Meeting of August 9th, 1960 were read and approved as read. Hearing was held on special assessments in Lamer Gardens and Ingermanson Addition Commissioner Entine moved to accept amd approve. On motion of Commissioner Exline ordinance was introduced for first reading for special assessments in Lamer Gardens and Ingermanson Addition. Ordinance passed: �- ��7 � 0 Number �7 � � / An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance making • a levy of taxes for general revenue and other purposed by the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1961.11 On motion of Co amissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner -McCune absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6470. An ordinance was introduced for secondreading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map t erein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof.", On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6471. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing Main Sanitary Sewer 11AHm and Lateral Sanitary Sewers Districts 379, 380, 382 and 383 and Main Sanitary Sewer 11AI" and Main Sanitary Sewer 11AJ11 and Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 390, 391, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments." On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinane was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6473. Hearing was held on special zoning for trailer court tobe located on a plot of groun known as Lot 8, Block 23, E. M. I. Addition, to the City of SalinyL,Kansas. No protests. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to authori- zation of use of certain lots 'as a Trailer Court within the City, under Section 13, Ordi- nance 5549-11 On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2409. A resolution was introduced and passed dedicating Indiana Avenue from Gypsum Avenue to Greeley Avenue. On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2.08. Commissioner Exline moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading for the inclusion of balance of Replat of Moose Addition, within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas. Ordinance passed: F - 4 ri Number: (,- Engineer filed Plans and Specifications on Refuse Building, under Resolution Number 2368. Commissioner Exline moved to accept and approve and set date of September 6th 1960 for bids. City Engineer filed Final Estimate in the amount of $13,724.21 to Wilmoth Con- struction Company, for Street Improtiement Job 395• Approved by Commissioner Jaeger. Letter received from Wingrove Auto Supply Company, Inc., for twenty-four minute meters in front of their store at 150-156 South Fifth Street. Commissioner Bull moved to refer to City Manager and Traffic Department. Petition presented for sidewalks on East side of Fourth Street between Leslie and Wayne, (Block 6 Gebhart Manor Addition). Commissioner Jaeger moved to refer to City Manager. Petition presented for rezoning of East 1031 feet; South 298.9 feet; less South 90 feet; East 50 feet of Lot 7, Surveyor's Plat "C", to Light Commercial Business. Commissioner Bull moved to refer to City Planning Commission. Concrete Construction Bond presented from K. L. Morgenson and V. L. Weis. Approved by Commissioner Jaeger. Airport Lease received from Hertz System Inc., . Approved by Commissioner Exline. Petition presented from LaMar Automotive Inc., for removal of 26 feet of curbing on the West side of their building, located at 216 West Ash Street; or the East side of Eighth Street, with a setback parking area replacing curbing removed) also for six 12 minute meters to be installed in the 57 foot set back parking in front of their building and four meters on west side after curbing is removed. Petition referred to City Manager and Traffic Department. Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License was received from E. C. Kerfoot, d/b/a Don's Lounge, 201 South Santa Fe Avenue. Approved by Commissioner Exline. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an ap- propriation for the payment of certain claims."
