Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 2, 1960. Meetingwas called
to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Exline
and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 26th, 1960 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for secondieading entitled: "An ordinance levying
assessments on lots, pieces and parcels of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, for
the purpose of paying a portion of the cost of: curbing, guttering, paving and grading
with six-inch reinforced concrete:, two lanes twenty-four feet in width, with a thirteen
foot median lane between the two concrete lanes on Ohio Street from the north line of
Wayne Avenue to the north line of Greeley Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
. Ramsey, Ekline, Bull and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6464.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying
and confirming a contract with John Rohrer Contracting Company for the construction of
Off -Street Parking Project 100, s designated and authorized by Resolution Number 2292,
and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay th a cost thereof, pending the
issuance aid sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6465.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled "An ordinance providing
for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein
and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City
and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Bill the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6466.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance relat-
ing to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of
ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary
Sewer Districts Numbered 393 and 394, and relating to and providing for the collection
and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6467.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance relat-
ing to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of
ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary
Sewer District Number 397, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment
of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance wasread and adopted by sections

An ordinance was introduced for secondreading entitled: "An ordinance levying
special assessments against certainproperty to pay the cost of cutting weeds on certain
lots and parts of lots, and the parkways abutting thereon in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved
the ordinance, and it is Numbered 6469.

16th, 1960.
City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Number 427.
Commissioner Bull moved to accept.

reading.

priation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called andthe following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Bull, Exline and Jaeger (!t) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1028.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance mating an appro-

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals, August 2, 1960. Meeting was called to
order b- Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramse , Bu11, Exline and
Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune absent.
