The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 12th, 1960 were read and approved

The following letterszeceived from City Planning Camni.ssion:
Recommending that Petition Number 2383 filed by Dan Bolen for approval of the
re -plat of Indian Rock Addition be approved.

Commissioner Bull moved to accept.

Recommending that Petition Number 2384 filed by Harold Fulton for the rezoning
of property on Broadway Boulevard be approved.

Commissioner McCune moved to accept and City Clerk publish Notice.
City Manager reported on Petition Number 2385 for paving Indiana Avenue from
Gypsum Avenue to Stack Avenue. 20%
Commissioner McCune moved to refer to Petitioner.
A resolution was introduced for secondzeadin gentitled: "A Resolution determin-
ing necessity of and directing that the owner or ownersof certain lots construct, in
compliance with plans and specifications of the City Engineer; a sidewalk abutting said
lots within thirty days of the adoption and publication hereof, and providing that in

the event the owner or owners fail to do so, that the City of Salina, shall proceed to

construct or cause to bs constructed said sidewalk and that the total cost thereof shall
be assessed against such lot or lots on which such sidewalk shall abut as other special
i
assessments."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on

its final adoption the roll was called and the following v&,e was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Bull., Exline, McCune and Jaeger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolrition and
it is Numbered 2398.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating

to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Guernsey Drive with asphalt, Thirty-
three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, from the east line of Prescott
Road to the north line of Prescott Road."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called andthe following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull,

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing for the periodic issuance of Temporary Notes of the City of Salina.* Kansas, in the
principal sum, not to exceed $133,500.00, to pay for the cost of erecting, construct-
ing, furnishing and equipping public buildings, for procuring the necessary sites therefo

and for other necessary costs authorized by Chapter 78, Laws of the State of Kansas,

On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline, McCune and Jaeger. (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered 6460.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing forthe cancellation and deletion of Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 381, as
described in Ordinance No. 6310."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:

of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 427. (Garden Home Addition) .

Commissioner Jaeger moved to approve.
The following petitions were presented and on motion of Commissioner McCune
referred to the City Planning Commission:
For rezoning Lot 11, Minneapolis Avenue, Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University,
(129 West Minneapolis Avenue) from Zone "A" to Zone "B".
For rezoning Lots 1, 2, 3, Block 3, Phillips East Salina Addition to the City
of Salina.. Kansas from Zone "B" to Zone "D"I.
For rezoning East 60 feet of West 130 feet of Lot 2, Plat 3, in Lamer's Second
Sub -Division to the City of Salina, Kansas, to Zone "C".
The following petitions were presented and on motion of Commissioner Bull referred
to City Manager:
For paving West Antrim Avenue from Tenth to Eleventh Streets.
Protesting paving of Woodlawn Avenue from Pershing Street to Ninth Street.

A resolution was introduced and passed: Authorizing Union Pacific Railroad
Company to construct a spur track from its present track located in Fourth Street to
Lots 175, 177, 179, 181, 183, 185, 187 on Fourth Street and Lots 176 and 186 on Third
Street in the original Town of Salina.
On motion of Commissioner Exli.ne the resolution w as adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,Bu11,
Exlir+e, McCune and Jaeger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is
Numbered 2400.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appro-
priation for the payment of ce tain claims."
