The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 142 1960 and Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting of June 14th, 1960 were read and approved as read. Bids on Tractor referred to City Manager for checking. Commissioner Jaeger moved to award to Salina Impplement Company for $1763.00. City Manager reported on -the following petitions: 2365 Paving Kansas from Elm to Riverside Drive. W • Commissioner Jaeger moved to refer to petitioner. 2368 Paving Wilson Street from Sheridan to Custer. 57.3% Commissioner Exline moved to approve for resolution. 2367 Paving Wilson Street f rom Merrill to Sheridan. 56.5% Commissioner McCune moved to approve for resolution. 2366 Curb, Gutter and Pave Otis from Third to Front. 53.5% Commissioner Bull moved to approve for resolution. i� 2373 Curb, Gutter and Pave Stapler from Michigan to Wisconsin. 36% i Commissioner Exline moved to return to petitioner. 2369 Sidewalk on west side of Beach from Bachtold to Cloud 63.5% Approved by Commissioner McCune. A resolution was introduced for secondreading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Sunset Park Drive with asphalt, Thirty-three (33) feet wide from curb to curb, from the East line of Republic Avenue tQ the North line of Sunset Drive." A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relat- ing to the paving and grading of Oakdale Park Road with concrete, Forty (40) feet wide from face of curb to face of curb, from the east side of Oakdale Park Drive to the West j side of Oakdale Avenue." A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relat- ing to the paving and grading of Woodlawn Avenue with concrete, Twenty-eight (28) feet wide from face of curb to face of curb, from the East line of Pershing Street to the west line of Ninth Street." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its • final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, ExlirB, McCune and Jaeger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved theresolution and it is Num- bered 2375• A resolution was introduced fir sec6nd reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Greeley Avenue with concrete, Thirty- three (33) feet wide from the West line of Uppermill Drive to the East line of Claremont Drive. A resolution was introduced for secondreading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of York Avenue with concrete? Thirty-three (33) feet wide from ack of curb to back of curb, from the East line of Francis Street to the west line of Ohio Street." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and onits final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and McCune (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2377. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution for vacation of five (5) foot easement in Lot 34 and Lot 33, Block 4, Belmont Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exlire, Jaeger and McCune (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is I%Tum- bered 2378. An o xe1inance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance for the vacation of certain streets within the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas." On motion of Comunissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Zxline, Jaeger and McCune (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6155. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinary e provid- ing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map there- in and thereby adopted and providing for !the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll w as called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exlire, Jaeger and McCune (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6456 , An ordinance was introduced for secondreading entitled: "An ordinance levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of constructing certain se water service pipes and connections in certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vo.:e was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exling,Jaeger and McCune ( ) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6.57 . An -ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creating and cbfining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Numbered 426, and providing for the con- struction of a lateral sanitary sewer ins aid Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 426, socreated and providing for the payment of theoDst thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Fxlimg,MeCune and Jaeger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6458. Commissioner McCune moved to refer to City Manager. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appro- priation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exlire, Jaeger and McCune (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1023. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners:tRmsey, Bull, Eklire, Jaeger and McCune and Ahtin* City Attorney Bengtson responded. City Attorney Barta absent. Petition Number 2375 filed by Ted Collister, for permission to use Lots 2 and 4, except the West 104 feet and the forth 25feet of Lot 6, except the West 104 feet, on Highland Avenue in Prescott Addition, as a public parking lot for use by customers and employees of Sears tenter; also Protest Petition filed, was taken up by the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to the authorization of non-compliance with the Rear Yard Requirements of Ordinance Number 5549 for 1406 Beverly Drive, described as follows: Beginning at a point 486.75 feet west and 1441.7 feet north ofthe point where the west line of U.
