Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 111, 1960. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull,
Jaeger and McCune and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Exline absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 7th, 1960 and Board of Zoning Appeals
Meeting of June 7th, 1960 were read and approvedas read.
Bids on Tractor.
Commissioner Bull moved to refer bids to City Manager and report.
No persons appeared to protest the rezonin of Lot 5, Block 6, South Park Addi-
tion from Zone "A" to Zone "B".
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger Zoning Ordinance was introduced for first

A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to
authorization of use of certain lots as a Trailer Court within the City, under Section
13, Ordinance Number 55119."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Bull, Jaeger and McCune (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 2366.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinan os for the
vacation of certain streets within the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Jaeger and McCune (11) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 61151.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zonin District Map there-
in and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the
City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; byes:
Ramsey, Bull, Jaeger and McCune (11) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 61152.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- •
ing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 55119 and the Zoning District Map
therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, McCune and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6453.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratify-
ing and confirming a contract with C.N. McCollum, doing business as C. N, McCollum
Construction Company for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers 414, 4172 1118, 11192
1120, 4212 11222 4232 424, 425, and Pumping Station, and providing for the issuance
of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance wasxead and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Jaeger and McCune (11) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 64511.
A resolution was introduced and passed providing for issuance of Temporary
Notes in the amount of $300,000.00 for Off -Street Parking.
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull,
Jaeger and McCune (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the •
resolution and it is Numbered 2367.
Commissioner Jaeger moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading levy-
ing special assessments for constructing sewer and water service pipes in certain streets
in the City of Salina, Kansas . " (�'

Commissioner Jaeger moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading creat-
ing, defining and providing for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 426
in the City of Salina, Kansas.

On motion of Commissioner Bull resolution was introduced for first reading
for Asphalt Paving Sunset Park Drive from East line of Republic Avenue to North line
of Sunset Drive.

for Asphalt Paving Sunset Park D'r`ive from South line of Republic Avenue to west line
of Sunset Drive.

Petition presented for rezoning Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block 6, Calkins Addition
to "C" Zone.

On motion of Commissioner McCune petition referred to City Planning Commission.
Trust Deed, with a deposit of $150.00 was received from Mrs. George W. Isaacs
for perpetual care of South 1/2 Lot 26, Block 17, Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Petition received from Ted Collister for permission to use Lots 2 and 4.. except
the West 104 feet and the North 25 feet of Lot 6, except the West 104 feet, on Highland
Avenue, in Prescott Addition, as a public parking lot for use by customers and employees
of Sears Center.
Commissioner McCune moved to table until full Commission present.

Commissioner McCune moved to accept Plans and Specifications for Hangar Apron
surfacing.
City Engineer prepare description for Resolution for resurfacing of 900 $Lock
on Park Street; 2/3 Property and 1/3 City.
Approved by Commissioner Jaeger.

appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;

Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1022.

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals, June 14th, 1960. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Brill, Jaeger
and McCune and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Exline absent.
Building Application received from Harold Fulton to alter roof on building
located at 1406 Beverly Drive.
Commissioner Bull moved to publish Notice for Hearing June 21, 1960 at 4 P. M.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, Board of Zoning Appeals adjourned.
