Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull, Jaeger and McCune and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Exline absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 7th, 1960 and Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting of June 7th, 1960 were read and approvedas read. Bids on Tractor. Commissioner Bull moved to refer bids to City Manager and report. No persons appeared to protest the rezonin of Lot 5, Block 6, South Park Addi- tion from Zone "A" to Zone "B". On motion of Commissioner Jaeger Zoning Ordinance was introduced for first reading. % / --� • Ordinance passed: `� " ­ _2�1 h 0 Number: A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to authorization of use of certain lots as a Trailer Court within the City, under Section 13, Ordinance Number 55119." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Jaeger and McCune (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2366. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinan os for the vacation of certain streets within the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Jaeger and McCune (11) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 61151. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- ing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zonin District Map there- in and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; byes: Ramsey, Bull, Jaeger and McCune (11) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. McCollum, doing business as C. N, McCollum Construction Company for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers 414, 4172 1118, 11192 1120, 4212 11222 4232 424, 425, and Pumping Station, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds." Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 64511. A resolution was introduced and passed providing for issuance of Temporary Notes in the amount of $300,000.00 for Off -Street Parking. On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Jaeger and McCune (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Trust Deed, with a deposit of $150.00 was received from Mrs. George W. Isaacs for perpetual care of South 1/2 Lot 26, Block 17, Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Trust Deed appy oved by Commissioner McCun e. Petition received from Ted Collister for permission to use Lots 2 and 4.. except the West 104 feet and the North 25 feet of Lot 6, except the West 104 feet, on Highland Avenue, in Prescott Addition, as a public parking lot for use by customers and employees of Sears Center. Commissioner McCune moved to table until full Commission present. City Engineer filed the following Estimates: No. 1. Doerfler & Kropff Const Co. Approved by Commissioner Bull. No. 2. Boyer, Sweeney & Hagadorn, Engineers Approved by Commissioner Jaeger.
