City Attorney reported on petition for permission to use part of Lots 2, 4 and
6, Highland Avenue, in Prescott's Addition, as an AAxi.liary Off -Street Parking Lot
for Sears Center, that it would not comply -,with the Zoning Ordinance.
Commissioner Exline moved that petition be defined.
No persons appeared to protest the rezonin of the following property:
For the operation of a Trailer Court tobe located on Lots 19, 21 and 23,
Block 1, Wellington's Addition.

For rezoning from "A" to "F" a tract of land in the S. W. 1/4 of Section 14,
Township 14 South,Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas.

Letter received from Enoch Harris, partner of the Salina Transit Compay, relat-
ing to reimbursement of Fuel Tax of five cents (5¢) per gallon paid by it on gas
used for bus operation.
Commissioner Jaeger moved to refer to City Manager to obtain certified financial
statement.

Regular Meetin of the Board of Commissioners June 7, 1960. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commmissiours Ramsey, Bull, Exline,
Jaeger and McCune and City Attorney Barta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 31, 1960 were read and approved as
read.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for the
construction of certain sewers provided for in Engine er Job 406, as follows:
C. N. McCollum Construction Company $59,639.00
0. D. Wilmoth Construction Comapany $68,933.00
Doerfler-Krapff Corporation $74,934.50
Engineer's Estimate. $65,27.1.50

Commissioner Jaeger moved to award contract to C. N. McCollum Construction
Company as per bid submitted in the amount of $59,639.00 and checks returned to
unsuccessful bidders.
Contract Ordinance for construction of sewers provided for inJob 406 intro-
duced for first reading.

Mayor appointed J. Earl Wyatt, C. B.Dodge, Jr. and N. C. Grant as appraisers
for Job Number 406.

On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted asread and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Bull, Exline, Jaeger and McCune (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution
and it is Numbered 2365.
An ordinance was: introduced and passed entitled.: "An ordinancemaking an appro-
priationfbr the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its
final adoption t e roll was called and the following vote was had; Ramsey, Bull, Exline,
Jaeger and McCune (5) Nays: (0) for approved the ordinance and it is Numbered
A-1020.

an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."

and on its final adoption the rollw as called and the following vote was had; Ayes:

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals, June 7t-,, 1960. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bull,
Exiine, Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded.
